Privacy Policy for our Mobile Apps

Effective date: 16 August 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile applications published by Metaforge (Metaforge Gaming Ltd — "Metaforge", "we", "us", "our") — our unofficial companion apps for various games (each, an "App"). It is separate from the privacy policy for our website at metaforge.app, which describes additional practices (such as analytics and advertising) that do not apply to the Apps. Where an App offers optional sign-in, it uses the same MetaForge account as the website, and the account itself is covered by that policy too.

In short

Our Apps are built to work without an account. Used that way, they collect no personal data and anything you save stays on your device. Signing in is entirely optional; if you choose to, we hold only what is needed to sync your progress between the App and metaforge.app. We never sell or rent your data, and we never track you across other apps or websites.

Information we collect

Without an account — none. You are not required to create an account or provide any personal information to use the Apps.

If you choose to sign in with a MetaForge account, the App uses that same account as our website, and we process:

  • Your email address (or the Discord/Twitch identity you sign in with) and your account ID — to authenticate you and know whose progress is whose.
  • Progress you choose to sync — obtained blueprints and workshop/project tracker counts. Quest tick-offs and your own map pins are never uploaded; they stay on your device.
  • A profile picture, only if you set one. Tapping your account picture opens your photo library so you can pick an image; the App asks for photo access at that moment and only that image is uploaded, to be stored as your avatar. We do not ask for camera or microphone access, and we do not read your photo library for any other purpose.

You can remove your profile picture from the account screen at any time, and you can sign out to return the App to fully local, account-free operation.

Data stored on your device

Features such as favourites, saved items, progress tracking, found/collected markers, your own map pins, and app settings are stored locally on your device and are removed when you delete the App. Some Apps also offer in-app controls to reset this data (for example, clearing favourites or progress). None of it is transmitted to us unless you sign in and it is one of the specific items listed above as synced.

Network requests and server logs

To show game information, images, and map tiles, the Apps request publicly available game data from our servers (including api.metaforge.app, cdn.metaforge.app, static.metaforge.app). As with any internet request, our servers automatically receive standard technical information — such as your IP address, device type, and the content requested — which is necessary to deliver and secure the content. We use this only to operate, maintain, and protect the service. We do not use it to identify you, build a profile of you, or track you across apps or services.

Third-party services

The Apps contain no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Any analytics or advertising referenced in our website privacy policy applies to the website only, not the Apps.

Children's privacy

The Apps are intended for a general audience and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

Data security

Used without an account, the Apps keep your activity only on your device, so there is no personal data held by us. If you sign in, your account data is held in the same secured systems as your metaforge.app account. All network requests use standard encryption (HTTPS).

App-specific notices

If a particular App ever collects information beyond what is described here, that App will disclose it within the App and/or in a supplementary notice, and its App Store privacy details will reflect it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
