The Ultimate Return to Moria “Finished” Seed Save File

With the new Durin Folk DLC now available in Return to Moria, we’ve updated our save-file collection to include two separate Seed Saves—one for the base game and one for the DLC. Each file contains huge quantities of every material, allowing players to jump into our shared world, grab whatever they need, and then transfer those items back into their own personal save.

These saves work for both Steam and Epic Games.

Why We Created These Save Files

Since launch, we’ve spent countless hours exploring Return to Moria, creating guides, and assisting players through our YouTube comments, Discord, and livestreams. One recurring issue kept appearing:

“Where do I find X?”
“There isn’t enough Y!”
“I can’t get the resources I need.”

Resources in this game can be limited, and after seeing the community struggle, we assembled a comprehensive Seed Save File to help players who are running out of options. These saves include nearly every material you might need—simply log in, collect what you want, and bring it back into your own world.

This save file will have nearly all the resources you may need. Please keep in mind, that we have put this together to help people who may be totally out of options!

How the Seed Save System Works

You’ll download one of our save files, place it in your game directory, launch the game, and enter our shared save named “Pirate Gaming.”

From there:

1. Load the save.
2. Enter the world with your character.
3. Collect any materials you want.
4. Log out.
5. Load your own personal world.
6. Your character keeps everything they carried across.

If you ever need more resources, simply re-download the seed and repeat the process.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Use the Seed Save Files

1. Download the Save Files

click the file you wish to download depending if you have the DLC or not.

Base Game (No DLC) Save:

Durin Folk DLC Save:

2. Locate Your Save Folder

Locate your save folder. Your save files are stored in one of these locations:

Steam:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Moria\Saved\SaveGamesSteam

Epic Games:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Moria\Saved\SaveGamesEpic

Replace YOURUSERNAME with your Windows profile name.
If you can’t find AppData:

• Press Windows + R
• Type AppData
• Press Enter
  Then go to: Local > Moria > Saved > SaveGamesSteam/Epic

Inside this folder, you will see files starting with MW_ and MC_—these are your current saves.

MC_ being your character, MW_ being your world with backups.

3. Back Up Your Original Saves

Before installing anything new:

• Copy your existing save files.
• Paste them somewhere safe (Desktop, Documents, etc.).

This ensures you can restore your world if something goes wrong.

4. Install the Seed Save File

1. Extract the ZIP file you downloaded (if necessary).
2. Drag and drop all files into your SaveGamesSteam or SaveGamesEpic folder.
3. Launch Return to Moria.
4. Look for the save world called “Pirate Gaming.”

5. Where to Find All the Resources in the Seed Save

Once you have loaded into the Pirate Gaming save file, here’s exactly where all the materials are located:

Base Game Resources

Visit any Mapstone and fast travel to:

• The Great ForgeSeat of Durin I

This location contains all available resources for the base game.

Durin’s Folk DLC Resources

If you are using the Durin’s Folk DLC Save, make sure to fast travel to both locations:

• The Great ForgeSeat of Durin I
• Durin’s Tower

Both map points contain DLC resources and normal resources.

6. Transfer the Resources to Your Own World

1. Load the Pirate Gaming save.
2. Enter the world using your character.
3. Fill your inventory with whatever materials you need.
4. Log out.
5. Load your personal world.
6. Your character will carry everything over.

Repeat any time you need more resources.
