How to repair your First Starship in No Man`s Sky
No Man`s Sky is all about space exploration, and repairing your ship is the first main goal of the story. In this guide, I will guide you through the different processes and steps to repair your ship and start your journey as a voyager of planets. Let`s Start!
Investigating the Starship
Upon investigating your starship. It seems that the ship structures are broken and deteriorated. A pop-up quest will begin, and this will be your first one in the game. It tells you to repair your ship.
Restoring the Starship
Repairing the ship will enable you to progress through the game and explore different planets or coordinates for next quests.
To view the stats of your Starship, Press tab, or it can be accessed through the equipment and tools. We can see that two technology of the starship is at 0 percent. Let`s start Fixing the ship!
StarShip`s Pulse Engine
The first thing to repair in your ship is the Pulse Engine. We need a hermetic seal and a metal plating to fix it.
Metal Plating
To craft metal plating, we need ferrite dust, which is harvested through rocks. Let`s find a rock.
Using the mining beam tool, Harvest the rock and you will get ferrite dust. We need atleast 50 to craft a metal plating.
To craft a metal plating or any resources, click on a vacant slot on your backpack. Then a pop-up tab will show. Choose the metal plating and click to craft. Let`s repair it!
Press the ship and attach the pulse engine part and board the ship to access any problems.
Hermetic Seal
Upon accessing the starship, A hermetic seal is needed to restore the pulse engine fully. A marker will be given to you on where to get the hermetic seal.
Investigate the beacon and it will give you a next signal on where to get the hermetic seal.
The marker this time is quite far. So make sure to store some oxygen and sodium to replenish your life levels. Let`s get to the marker.
Access the holo archive and recover the hermetic seal from the supplies intact to the machine.
After that a side quest that also relates to your ship will pop out. This is the analysis visor. It will help you to locate your ship even from miles away.
This time the quest requires you to gather carbon. Carbon elements can be found in plants. Use your mining beam to collect it. Then let`s go to next part!
Craft the nanotube through your backpack and fix the analysis visor to get back to your ship.
There we go! Good Job! Now, go back to your starship and finally complete the pulse engine.
Attach the hermetic seal and complete the pulse engine restoration.
Launch Thrusters
For the next part of the starship, the Launch thrusters need to be fixed. We need a pure ferrite and di-hydrogen jelly for this.
Di-Hydrogen Jelly
Di-hydrogen jelly is made out of di-hydrogen crystals. These are the blue crystals lying on the ground. Use your mining beam to collect di-hydrogen element.
Di-hydrogen jelly is crafted with 40 di-hydrogen elements. It can also be crafted through your backpack.
Attach the di-hydrogen jelly to the thruster and let`s move on to the next requirement.
Portable Refiner and Pure Ferrite
Now, we need to collect ferrite dust from rocks to craft a machine called portable refiner.
Collect ferrite dust, and you also need 30 oxygen to craft the portable refiner.
The portable refiner uses carbon element as a fuel source and turns ferrite dust into pure ferrite. Start processing to get the required materials for the starship.
Attach the last piece to complete the repair of your starship. This will be exciting! Let`s try to board it now!
Board your Starship
Now that the starship is fully repaired. Board the starship and time to explore the space!
The controls is pretty much simple and just like walking and running. Reach outer space to progress the mission.
