How to Make Money in ROB RUN: Every Way to Earn and Launder Cash
Money in ROB RUN comes in two forms. Dirty cash is what you carry, and you lose it if you die as a Criminal. Credits sit in your bank account, where nobody can take them. Every good money route ends the same way: turn loot into cash, then launder the cash into credits before you lose it.
1. Sell loot to the Fence
The simplest route, and the first one the tutorial teaches. Grab anything valuable, then sell it to a Fence. What you get depends on the item's value and on your Notoriety level, so the same loot pays more as you climb. There are 4 buyers in Looty Bay; turn on the Services layer on the interactive map to find them.
The best-paying spots are the ones that cost more effort: safes (47 on the map), jewellery (71), art (110) and deposit boxes (12). Cash registers (35) are quick money for a new player.
2. Complete collections
At home, the Collection Table packs stolen items into a set. A finished collection sells for much more than the items would one by one. The items your current collection needs are marked with a special icon, so you can spot them while you loot. Upgrading the table unlocks new collections. Cargo that completes a collection can be sold in Looty Bay.

3. Steal and sell cargo
Cargo is the big-ticket loot: containers, safes, bags, canisters and more, each worth something different. You have two choices with it:
Sell it as contraband to a smuggler. Payout depends on how much you bring and what it is. There are 6 cargo exchange points on the map.
Open it at home on a Cargo Workbench to get what is inside. Upgrades open cargo faster and add more slots.
Things to know about carrying cargo:
Drawing a weapon makes you drop it.
Your car's trunk stores cargo separately from your other things, and a bigger car or trunk upgrade carries more.
Store it at home on racks; cargo left on the ground disappears after a while.
Moving a lot of cargo at once is risky, but it pays much more.
Police can confiscate your bag and cargo.
Watch for cargo events too: 14 event cargo drop points are marked on the map.
4. Repack contraband
Buy contraband from Lenny (at Lenny's Motel) or at the Sales Center. Repack it on a Contraband Workbench at home, and repacked cargo is worth much more. Then sell it to the smuggler. It is a trading loop you can run with no robbery at all.
5. Grow Room and Laboratory
Two base upgrades make money while you play, or while you are offline:
Grow Room: grows rare plants. When the cycle finishes, sell the crop to the Fence. Upgraded equipment speeds up growth.
Laboratory: pour in reagents and it makes cargo. Smoke rises above the building while it works, so other players can see it. That makes a lab a target, and somebody else's smoking lab is a target for you.
Step by step, with prices: Grow Room guide and Laboratory guide. Keep both safe with our base defence guide.
6. The big heists
The Bank Vault and the Art Gallery vault pay the most, and they need gear. Drilling the Bank Vault alerts everyone in Looty Bay the moment the drill goes down. Our keys guide covers the keycards and ID cards, and the Suspicious Door in Lenny's Motel trades for drills and tools.
7. Play as a Police Officer
Police earn money into their account for lawful actions. At the end of each shift they get confiscated goods worth what they earned. Arresting a Criminal alive pays an extra reward. When the department calls for backup, accepting gives a pay bonus for a while. A badge, found around the city, unlocks the best police gear, but you can work without one.
Launder your cash
All the routes above (except police work) pay in dirty cash, and Criminals lose everything they carry on death. Protect it:
Open a bank account (you need one to launder).
Put cash in the Laundering Desk at your base. It works on its own, even when you are offline, and turns cash into credits.
Withdraw when you need cash again, at any of the 14 ATMs on the map or from a bank employee.
The laundering rate depends on your settlement's level, your desk upgrades, and whether your clan controls a business.
Bigger money: own the land
Settlement owners collect a tax from residents every time they launder cash or buy on the Black Market. Collect it at the Debt Collectors' Van.
Clans collect taxes from the districts and businesses they control. You win control in clan conflicts.
The central desert districts offer better rates for laundering, stealing and trading.
Spend it well
The Black Market on your base laptop sells for cash. Shipments unlock new weapons, vehicles and gear there, and moving to a higher-level district widens the range. Vehicle upgrades are kept when you die, so they are a safe place to spend: see our vehicle upgrades guide.
