Where Winds Meet Guide: How to Make Gold Fast
To make gold fast, you should focus on clearing Path Trials for large one-time rewards (up to 150,000 gold), completing your 10 daily Bounties (around 5,000 gold each), and spamming the Prison Break co-op mission (13,000 gold per run). You can also get a quick one-time injection of cash by stealing from wealthy NPCs in the starting zone.
How to Make Gold Fast in Where Winds Meet
Gold is a scarce resource in Where Winds Meet. You need it for enhancing gear, tuning stats, and buying materials. The costs go up significantly after level breakthroughs (like Level 70), where a single enhance can cost 22,000 gold.
Ulfhednar shared his insights on the most efficient ways to farm this currency. There is a weekly cap on how much gold you can earn from standard drops, but there are ways to work around it or maximize your efficiency.
1. The Shop Exchange (Fastest Method)
If you have other currencies piled up, you can convert them into gold instantly. This is the fastest method if you are already “rich” in other areas.
- Jadefish Shop: You can buy bags of gold using your Jadefish currency. This counts towards your weekly acquisition but is instant.

- Uncut Jade Shop: This is a newer currency obtained from the Path Trial. You can buy gold bags here as well, up to around 100,000 gold.

2. Path Trials (Huge One-Time Bonus)
The “Path Trial” is a specific challenge mode for your build (e.g., Bamboo Cut path for Twinblades).

- The Reward: The first clear of a tier can reward you with 150,000 Gold.

- Subsequent Clears: These can give around 100,000 gold, but your attempts are limited.
- Strategy: If you haven’t cleared these yet, go do them immediately. It is the largest single chunk of change you can get.
3. Daily Bounties (Consistent Income)
You should do your bounties every day. They reset daily.
- How to Access: Go to Wandering Path -> Bounty.
- The Limit: You can do about 10 bounties per day.
- The Pay: NPC bounties pay around 5,000 Gold each. Player bounties (PVP) can pay significantly more, sometimes up to 40,000, but they are riskier and rarer.
- Efficiency: These missions are very quick. You accept, travel, kill, and get paid.

4. Casual Co-op: Prison Break
If you want to grind repeatedly, the “Casual Co-op” modes are decent.
- The Mode: Select Prison Break.
- The Pay: It pays approximately 13,000 Gold per run.
- Time: A run takes between 5 to 10 minutes depending on your team’s coordination.
- Alternative: The Healer mode also pays well but generally takes longer to complete.

5. Stealing from NPCs (The Hidden Stash)
There are specific NPCs in the first zone (Qinghe) who carry large amounts of cash. For each NPC location you can reference this article.
- The Method: Approach specific NPCs and use your “Windsense” (Default key ‘T’) to Request or Steal from them.
- The Amount: Some carry over 10,000 coins. If you hit all of them, you can make between 120,000 to 150,000 Gold.
- Important Note: This is a one-time source. Once you take their money, it does not reset. It is good for a quick injection of capital but not for long-term farming.
- Tip: Having high Exploration points increases your success rate for requests/stealing.

6. Emergency Cash: Weapon Resets
If you are completely broke and need gold for a crucial upgrade, check your Martial Arts menu.
- The Trick: If you have upgraded weapons that you no longer use (e.g., you switched from Sword to Twinblades), you can Reset them.
- The Refund: The game refunds 80% of the Coin and materials you spent. It is not a full refund, so you lose 20%, but it can recover a significant amount of liquid cash if you have a maxed-out weapon sitting in your inventory doing nothing.

Summary
To stay healthy on gold:
- Clear your Path Trials for the big bonuses.
- Do your 10 Daily Bounties.
- Run Prison Break if you have free time.
- Loot the rich NPCs in the starting zone once.
It is a grind, but necessary if you want to keep your gear maxed out.
