With Arc Raiders releasing world wide on the 30th October 2025, everyone is getting ready for the launch and the hype and excitement is building. This fan-made trailer by Litzann aka the self dubbed Arc-o-Holic really hits you in the feels.
For those of you who have been lucky enough to play Arc Raiders already, I think you will agree with me here that the feeling you get from the video is quite reminiscent of the feeling you get playing the game.

ARC Raiders is an upcoming third-person PvPvE (Player-versus-Player-versus-Environment) extraction adventure set on a lethal future Earth. The game’s premise revolves around a world where humanity has been forced to live underground in the city of Speranza, as the surface, or “the topside,” has been overrun by a mysterious and deadly mechanized threat known as the ARC.
Players take on the role of “Raiders,” who venture above ground, alone or in squads of up to three, to scavenge for valuable resources, gear, and lost technology. This scavenging is complicated by the need to survive constant threats from the aggressive ARC machines and the unpredictable actions of rival Raiders, culminating in a high-stakes decision to extract safely with the acquired loot.
The core gameplay loop involves preparing in the underground base, venturing into the beautiful yet devastated surface world to gather, fight, and upgrade, and then making a successful escape to thrive in the post-apocalyptic society.
The team behind ARC Raiders is Embark Studios, a Swedish video game developer founded in 2018 by industry veteran Patrick Söderlund, who previously served as an executive at Electronic Arts and was a co-founder of DICE (known for the Battlefield series). Embark Studios is made up of numerous developers with significant pedigree, including many alumni from DICE who worked on games like the Star Wars Battlefront franchise.
This background contributes to the game’s high production quality and focus on dynamic, immersive gameplay. Embark Studios has also developed the popular free-to-play shooter The Finals. They have positioned themselves as an R&D-driven company, famously leveraging generative AI and machine learning tools in their development pipeline, particularly for the animation of the ARC robot enemies and other content creation, which has been a point of discussion in the wider industry.
