Legends of the Twelve Constellations, Vol. 1
Description
The first constellation, the Bow, tells of a child born beneath an endless night. Longing for the sun, the child became a great archer and shot the Milky Way into the heavens, tearing through the darkness and restoring daylight. The month illuminated by the Bow came to be known as the Month of Dawning. The second, the Conch, tells of a child who heard the voices of their missing parents through a conch shell and followed them beyond the sea, never to return. During the Month of Withering, the tale warns against chasing what can never be found. The third, the Horn, tells of a young man who stole a divine horn to save his village, only to become the horn himself. During the Month of Rippling, his courage and sacrifice are remembered for bringing prosperity to his people. - Recorded by Arenph, Antiquary Society
