Shadowhawk Syndicate Patrol Log
Description
On nights with thick fog, I can hear Merrat's muttering from beyond the walls. His delirium is getting worse. One moment, he's cursing comrades from thousands of years ago, then calls out to them in tears. Around midnight, the sheer grief of his howls make even the ground shake. Even in his madness, he keeps turning toward the door and asks, "When will you come?" This endless waiting is the most unsettling part. If not for Maia's seal, that frenzied spirit would've consumed the entire village by now. Some lurk nearby, seeking whatever secret Merrat holds. Their greed sickens me, knowing that they won't give up even as he screams "Traitors!" I fear hearing his dreadful cries in my dreams.
