The Sixty-Three Empty Graves
Description
No body rests beneath this earth. General Lowrum, his adjutant Mihake, and the sixty-three souls who followed him into the cave atop the cliffs. Its entrance was never found again. They said reinforcements would come within three days. But the third day came and went, and still no one came. The king bade us hold the South, yet sent no one to bring its defenders home. And so, with no bodies to lay to rest, we bury their names instead. Should those cliffs ever open their jaws again, carry this stone to them and raise it at their side.
