Born Swimmer Quest in Enshrouded
The Born Swimmer quest is given by the new Fisher NPC introduced in the Wake of the Water update. Completing it rewards you with the Swimfins, an important movement upgrade that increases your swim sprint speed by 30%, making underwater travel and resource gathering much easier.
Step 1 – Speak to the Fisher and Begin the Quest
Talk to the Fisher NPC at your base to begin the Born Swimmer quest. He will send you to Goldrock Saddle to locate the Swimfins.
You will need to make sure your Flame is strengthened enough to remove the Red / Deadly shroud from the area, otherwise you wont be able to finish this quest.

Step 2 – Travel to Veilwater Basin Spire
Head to the Veilwater Basin Spire. Once you’re at the top, turn to face north toward the cliffs leading to Goldrock Saddle. Make sure you have your glider and glide across the water to the town ahead, which is Goldrock Saddle.

Step 3 – Reach Goldrock Saddle
Once you land, go under the stone passage and look for the staircase leading underground. Try to avoid attracting enemies in the area, or clear them before descending.

Head down the staircase, and you will see a wooden barrier than can be broken. Equip your Axe and smash this open.

Step 4 – Descend Into the Tunnels
Head down the stairs, take the first right, then a sharp left down the next set of stairs. You will encounter an explosive shroud pod — shoot it from a distance and defeat the enemy it spawns. Continue deeper and take a left and you will see some shroud tentacles and a blue shroud root.

Step 5 – Destroy the Shroud Growth
You’ll reach a room filled with shroud tentacles. Destroy the blue root cluster in the center to stop them from spawning. Using ranged attacks is the safest approach here as the tentacles cant spawn near you. Clear the area and collect the dropped materials.

Step 6 – Open the Locked Gate and Claim Your Swimfins
Behind the tentacle cluster is a gold chest locked behind a gate. Use a Lockpick to open it and close the gate behind you if enemies approach. If you have no lockpicks, you can break the gate with a pickaxe, though it takes longer.

Open the chest to claim your Swimfins, completing the Born Swimmer quest.
These Swimfins will be essential for future quests thanks to the 30% swim sprint boost they provide.
