Legend of Khiimori focuses on how you will handle your horses as you complete missions as an ancient courier rider. In this guide, we will show you the different ways to know your horse better, including its statistics, breed, and how to take care of your soul companion as you travel across the mongolian region!

What are horses used for in The Legend of Khiimori

Horses are considered to be your character in the legend of Khiimori. The whole region of Mongolia is vast, and horses are your only way to travel efficiently. Here are the things that you should take note when dealing with your horse.
Horse Wellbeing

The horse has 6 Bars That you will need to maintain at a safe standard. Disregarding each one could impact the horse performance and make your travel extremely slow.
Horse Temperature

First to look at is the temperature, It will increase or decrease depending on the region such as snowy mountains or desserts.

In this scenario, the temperature has dropped since we are moving through the snowy mountains. This will reduce the health of the horse dramatically. To remove this effect, tonics are crafted and can be used to help the temperature of the horse.
Horse Health and Stamina

Every horse has an HP bar beside their picture icon. The health will decrease if your stamina runs-out, temperature effects, if you don’t feed or water your horse, and if dangerous animals attack your horse.
Food, Water and Mood

Food, Water, and Mood decrease over time as you use your horses for traveling. These will be your 3 main focuses. To maintain them, feed your horse or water them, and for mood management, we have horse care.
Horses Care

A specialized tab is for horse care. These are the tabs for taking care of your horse. The first one is for watering your horse. The horse must be near a water source. The second one goes to the food management. Horses eat berries and hay so better stock up on them.
Horses Mood
The mood of the horse should be maintained at a high level, if you horse has a ‘low’ mood, it will decrease the speed of your horse, or in worst-case scenarios it will not be able to run at all.

Horse Petting is one of the things you can do to increase the mood of your horse – it likes some attention! It does have a cooldown before you can use it again.

From time to time make sure you Brush your horse, it will also increase the mood and it also has a cooldown. Brushing will also remove the dirt debuff on horses.

Tend hooves will increase the mood of your horses and remove also the dirt after travelling to a muddy landscape.

The last two tabs pertain to healing your horses of injuries and ailments. Tonics and Bandages are available at general shops found in Settlements.
Horses Balance

As a carrier, Heavy loot will affect your horse`s balance. Make sure to always check the saddle items. You can balance them by moving items from left to right or vice versa, this will help keep your horse’s balance while riding.

Try and make sure the arrow is on the green bar to avoid the off-balance debuff, which makes your horses prone to injury. Also, each horses have a different total weight that they can carry.
Horse Statistics

Each horse has their own attributes such as strength, agility, endurance, balanc,e and speed. This may differ depending on the breed of the horse.

Over time, your horse will begin to increase their stats depending on their usage. As for my horse, It has gained additional stats for endurance and balance.
Horse Breeding

Horse breeding is not yet available for demo, but breeding is used for acquiring more quality horses and nurturing them as they grow to gain more stats for efficient traveling.

Here you can select horses, but as of the demo, it is still not open, so make sure to breed horses to a higher quality!
