The 7 Hidden Winterlights Chest Locations in Palia Patch 0.198
In Patch 0.198, Zeki sends you a letter containing clues to seven hidden Winterlights chests scattered around Kilima Village. Finding all seven rewards you with 1,050 Gold, 7 Winterlights Chests, 7 Winterlights Gift Bags, and 70 Winterlights Snowballs. Below is the complete walkthrough for every location.
How to Begin
Start by visiting your Mailbox at your plot and opening the letter from Zeki. This note includes seven rhyming hints that point you toward each hidden Winterlights chest.
All seven are located somewhere within Kilima Village, and you can collect them in any order. With the letter read, you’re ready to start the hunt.
Chest 1 – Staying Hydrated by the Inn’s Outer Docks
Chest 1 is located beside the Kilima Village Tavern near the outer dock area. North of E7 map tile. So, first make your way to Kilima Tavern.
From the tavern, take a right and walk down toward the water where you will notice a water tower. Head towards it and you will notice the chest is placed right beside a tree and the water tower.
Once you approach the edge of the dock, it becomes easy to spot. This completes Chest 1 of 7
Chest 2 – Slipped on the Rocks Near Phoenix Falls
Chest 2 is found at Phoenix Falls. North point of F4 map tile. First, make your way to the wooden bridge leading toward Embra’s path.
Once you are at the location. Cross the bridge, but before entering the cave ahead, stop and look down to your left and drop down toward the rocky ledges beneath you.
The chest rests on the stone terrain beneath the bridge. This completes Chest 2 of 7.
Chest 3 – By the Pond, Up on a Leaning Ruin
Chest 3 is located at Mirror Pond Ruins. Map tile D3. When you arrive, head north east of the Mirror Pond Ruins.
Look for a tree with a fallen ruin leaning against its trunk. The chest sits higher up, not on the ground. Climb onto the angled ruin, glide across to the elevated area, and you’ll find the chest resting on the higher structure above the pond. Collect it to complete Chest 3 of 7.
Chest 4 – Sleeping in an Office Inside City Hall
Chest 4 is inside City Hall in the center of Kilima. Map tile F7.
Enter the City Hall building, head upstairs, and turn right into the office room. Inside, check the bookshelf along the wall.
The chest sits directly on the shelves, making it one of the easiest to locate. This completes Chest 4 of 7.
Chest 5 – Hidden Beneath the Gazebo Near the Christmas Tree
Chest 5 can be found at the gazebo between the Fast Travel Board and City Hall. East side of Map Tile F7.
Head to the Kilima Village Fast travel board and look towards, the city hall. You will notice a Gazebo nearby. Walk into the gazebo where the Winterlights christmas tree and decorations are displayed.
You will notice the chest is located beneath some snow and beside the christmas present and christmas tree. This completes Chest 5 of 7.
Chest 6 – Behind Jina’s Tent at Mirror Pond Ruins
Chest 6 is positioned behind Jina’s archaeology tent near Mirror Pond Ruins. Located around C4 Map tile.
Make your way to South west area of Mirror Pond Ruins and you will see a tent near the mountains. Walk to the tent and circle around to its rear side. The chest is tucked behind the canvas wall, hidden from the front view. Grab it here to complete Chest 6 of 7.
Chest 7 – In the Shadows Inside Leafhopper Hills Barn
The final chest is inside the Leafhopper Hills barn where the Ormus are kept. Map tile C6.
Make your way to Leafhopper Hills Barn. Enter the outside barn area where the Ormuus are. Then check the sheltered space in the corner, to see the chest tucked away on top of some logs and hay.
Once collected, you finish Chest 7 of 7 and complete the Winterlights treasure hunt.
