Building in Pax Dei

Building in Pax Dei will be reminiscent of games like Valheim and Rust with a free building style allowing players to build on claimable plots. With Mainframe Industries stating they intend to use “Basic state of the art building mechanics”.

Marketstools (Shops)

Players will be able to build their own markets which will function something like a vending machine in order to continue selling items while players are offline. This is one of the first features coming to Early access.

Building in Pax Dei – Heartlands

The Heartlands will be restricted from PvP fights. During Early Access there is only one PvP area and the other 4 maps are all PvE. The Heartlands is still the only place that players will be able to build. This will evolve over time as the developers plan to bring in Knights and Kingdoms where players will be able to build in PVP zones. The one PVP area will also change as this has been implemented as a test.

There will be multiple maps (provinces) that are around 100 square km in size and they have multiple Heartlands in. Players can look forward to building their own unique structures all throughout the Heartlands.

A place to call home

Travel the relative safety of the Heartlands and find the perfect plot of land on which to build your home. Protected by the grace of the Divine, your village is a safe harbor where your Clan can grow and prosper.
Everything in this world is produced by the players’ hands and skills. Your village needs clothes, walls, food, flowers, and prayers. Some clans will need weapons and armor. Others require tools, materials, or mysterious reagents. It’s easy to find your place and play your part in this breathing world.

Plots

A plot is a portion of land that belongs to a character and that you can “claim” in the areas open for building. This portion of land is circular and vast enough to build a house of reasonable size and a couple of smaller structures. When you’re placing a plot, you’ll be able to pretty freely pick the plot location in the Heartlands and will see a preview of exactly what the area you’re getting is like.

Building in Pax Dei Crafting Stations

There are multiple crafting stations that are used in building in Pax Dei. This includes both crafting and refining. Below is a list of crafting stations and the items you can craft at them. These recipes include building pieces to build the structures as well as the furniture, lighting, and decorations.

The developers have revealed in their Roadmap that they will be bringing in more building pieces including Walls with Ivy Vines! New pieces add new ways to build and allows more creativity with building in Pax Dei.
