Where to Find Corpse Cotton in Enshrouded
Corpse Cotton is obtained from Corpse Flowers found throughout the Fellhollow region in Enshrouded, with the best and easiest farming location being the Lake of Lost Souls in the central part of the region, where large numbers of Corpse Flowers spawn close together and respawn over time.
Corpse Cotton is a key resource introduced with progression into Fellhollow and is required for crafting Fine Thread, which is essential for high-tier gear. While Corpse Flowers can be found across the region, some locations are far more efficient than others. After testing multiple areas, Lake of Lost Souls stands out as the best early and mid-game spot for farming this resource.

Where Corpse Cotton Comes From
Corpse Cotton drops from Corpse Flowers, which are green, explosive plants found throughout the Fellhollow region. These flowers can spawn on the ground or attached to walls, often clustered together in groups.

To harvest them, simply hit a Corpse Flower once. It will explode shortly after and drop Corpse Cotton, with a chance to also drop Corpse Cotton Seeds. Because of the explosion, it’s strongly recommended to use a ranged attack to avoid taking damage while farming.

Best Corpse Cotton Farming Location
Although Corpse Flowers appear all across Fellhollow, the most reliable and beginner-friendly location is Lake of Lost Souls, which is located in the central zone of the region. This area contains a high density of Corpse Flowers, many of which are easy to spot along the ground and nearby surfaces.
You can also use our interactive map to see a more precise location.

Another strong location can be found while making your way up the keep in the Silverthorn Keep zone, where many Corpse Flowers are present along the path. However, this area is better suited for later progression due to increased danger and enemy presence, so it’s not recommended as an early farming spot.

Farming Tips and Respawns
Before farming Corpse Flowers, it’s highly recommended to place a Lodestone nearby. Corpse Flowers respawn over time, and having a fast travel point allows you to return later and continue farming without long travel times.
In addition to farming them in the world, Corpse Cotton can also be obtained through Corpse Cotton Seeds, which can be planted in farm plots. This provides a reliable alternative method of generating Corpse Cotton over time and is especially useful once you’ve unlocked farming infrastructure.

What Corpse Cotton Is Used For
The primary use for Corpse Cotton is crafting Fine Thread at the Spinning Wheel. It takes 4 Corpse Cotton to create 1 Fine Thread, making large quantities of this resource necessary for progression.

Fine Thread is then used to craft high-tier items, most notably the Tier 5 Necromancer’s Staff, and it is a core ingredient in creating Fine Cloth. Fine Cloth is crafted at the Loom and requires 1 Gold Bar and 3 Fine Thread to produce a single unit.

Fine Cloth is essential for crafting Tier 5 armor sets, including the Splitbark Armor Set and the Steel Plate Armor Set, making Corpse Cotton a critical resource for endgame gearing.
