Redirection is a new minor map condition on Pendola Pass that lets you steal the fallen Emperor’s signal and call a Harvester payload down onto the map. It is tied directly to the endgame of the ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update, and the crash site is where early-access Raiders found the three ARC couplers and the materials needed for Amplified weapons.

This guide covers each step of the event, what the payload drops, and how to plan your beacons so you do not waste a run. Redirection was documented from early-access footage and in-game text, so any figure we could not verify is marked TBC and will be updated as we test it on the live ARC Raiders map.

What is the Redirection Map Condition?

Redirection is a minor map condition, which means it modifies a single map for a limited window instead of changing the whole game. Embark confirmed a new Map Condition in the Frozen Trail content preview without naming it, and Redirection is the one that has surfaced on Pendola Pass.

With the Emperor down, its identifier signal can be copied and broadcast. You deploy a beacon, and a Harvester payload is dropped at that exact spot.

You can track when map conditions are active on our Event Timers page, since each window is time limited and only appears on Pendola Pass.

How Redirection Works Step by Step

The full loop takes five steps, and the order matters because the beacon is the only way to trigger the payload.

  1. Find a Damaged Emperor Relay: Look for a red beam in the sky or the relay icon on your map. Several relays spawn around Pendola Pass.
  2. Search the relay: Searching it gives you an Emperor Beacon. In early access, the beacon was the only item inside.
  3. Deploy the beacon in an open area: It needs open sky to work. You can carry up to 3 beacons at a time.
  4. Take cover: The payload arrives with a rain of debris that damages your health and shields. Get indoors or out of the impact circle before it lands.
  5. Breach and search the Emperor Payload: Open the payload, then check the smaller falling debris for ARC parts.

What the Emperor Beacon Is

The Emperor Beacon is an Epic rarity quick use item that carries a copy of the Emperor’s identifier signal. It stacks to 3 and weighs 2.0 per beacon.

Because it is a quick use item, you activate it directly from your loadout instead of crafting anything first. The in-game description states that it must be deployed in an open area to call in Harvester payloads.

Redirection Loot Table

The table below lists the loot seen in early access. Drop rates are TBC, and one early-access player described the payload loot as “probe-level,” so expect the amounts to vary from payload to payload.

Why Redirection Matters for the Emperor

The three couplers (Conductive, Insulated, and Plated) are the crafting materials for the Emperor Gateway Conduit, which is made at Workbench I together with its blueprint. That conduit is what opens the door into the fallen Emperor.

Inside the Emperor is where Amplification Modules drop, so Redirection is effectively the gate to the Amplified weapon route that the preview describes as a fifth quality level. The blueprint source and exact crafting costs are TBC until we confirm them at the Workbench.

If you are budgeting materials, plan it alongside the rest of your upgrades in our Workshop Planner.

Planning Your Beacons

The beacon’s weight is the detail that most guides skip. Three beacons weigh 6.0 combined, and Live Update 1.45.0 added a severe over-encumbrance tier that limits you to walking with no sprint or jump.

The weight threshold for that tier is TBC, so build your kit first and check your headroom in the Loadouts builder before filling the last slots with beacons.

  • One relay, several payloads: Since beacons stack to 3, a single relay run can fund multiple payloads if you find more than one relay.
  • Carry spares: A failed deployment, such as a contested crash site, costs you a beacon but not the whole run.
  • Weigh the trade: Each beacon uses 2.0 of your weight budget, so cut low-value loot before you cut beacons.

Redirection Tips

The beam that marks both the relay and your deployed beacon is visible across the map. That makes every payload a magnet for other squads.

  • Pick cover first: Deploy where you have hard cover nearby and a clear view of the approaches.
  • Expect company: Treat the crash site as a contested zone, not a private loot room.
  • Watch for Fireflies: Fireflies show up during Redirection and nowhere else on Pendola Pass, so bring something that handles flying ARC.
  • Leave the impact circle: Debris damages both health and shields, so do not stay under the drop.

What is Still TBC

Redirection is new, and several details need live confirmation before we treat them as final.

  • Drop rates: The loot table lists what has been seen, not how often it appears.
  • Blueprint source: We have not confirmed where the Emperor Gateway Conduit blueprint comes from.
  • Window length: Time limits and spacing between windows are tracked on our Event Timers page as they are verified.
  • Beacon limits: Whether a relay can be searched more than once is not confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Redirection in ARC Raiders?

Redirection is a minor map condition on Pendola Pass that lets you use the fallen Emperor’s signal to call a Harvester payload to a location you choose. The payload contains couplers and materials tied to the Emperor Gateway Conduit and Amplified weapons.

How do you get an Emperor Beacon?

Search a Damaged Emperor Relay, which is marked by a red beam in the sky and an icon on your map. In early access, the beacon was the only item inside the relay.

How many Emperor Beacons can you carry?

You can carry up to 3, since the beacon stacks to 3. Each one weighs 2.0.

What does the Emperor Payload drop?

Early-access Raiders found Conductive, Insulated, and Plated Couplers, a Pneumatic Actuator, a Pressure Regulator, and ARC parts. The falling debris around it drops ARC Alloy, ARC Circuitry, and Motion Cores.

Why is Redirection important?

The three couplers craft the Emperor Gateway Conduit, which opens the door into the fallen Emperor where Amplification Modules drop. That makes Redirection the main route into the Amplified weapon progression.
