To damage ARC enemies using Pop Triggers effectively:

  1. Load into any map that has a Bombardier (such as Dam Battlegrounds) or easy-to-hit targets, like Shredders locked in a room on Stellar Montis
  2. Position yourself in a spot where you’re around 20-25m from the ARC of your choice unless you’re inside a room with them (or bring Showstoppers)
  3. Place your Pop Triggers within the range mention above and towards the ARC you’re attempting to hit. This is VERY tricky to land and can be quite random. A good hit however, lands around 200-250~ score
  4. You’ll easily need to bring at least 20 or more Pop Triggers if you to get the 3-star reward. There is a lot of trial and error involved
  5. You can also shoot a Bombardiers leg joint so it stays still and stunned for safer attempts
  6. Once you’re done, extract and enjoy your rewards

In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and damage ARC enemies using Pop Triggers to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.

Trial Preparation

This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.

What you’ll need

For this Trial, the objective requires dealing as much damage to ARC with Pop triggers as possible within the raid’s time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need basic medical consumables, a gun to defend yourself with and quite a lot of Pop Triggers).

We recommend bringing:

You can easily farm Pop Triggers by loading up Stellar Montis and hunting down Pops throughout the Metro, Loading Bays and Assembly. Bring a Survivor MK.3 Augment to guarantee at least 9 Pop Triggers per run even if you die by mistake.

Which map is best for this trial?

There is no best map to recommend for this Trial. However, we recommend trying a straight forward map such as Dam Battlegrounds with a condition such as Electromagnetic Storm available. You can do this on the normal map or any conditions you prefer, however. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!

How to get the best score for this trial

The scoring for this Trial only comes from dealing damage with Pop triggers to ARC. This is a very tricky task to navigate. Due to the fact that Pop Triggers are very unpredictable in the directions they’ll fly off into before exploding. As a result, bring plenty with you to ensure you can brute force the score you desire. To start earning score, you’ll want to:

  1. Utilize cover around any of the Bombardier spawns.
  2. Destroy the Spotters before attacking the Bombardier.
  3. Approach the nearest cover to the Bombardier or get within 20-25m range of it
  4. Place your Pop Trigger down, looking straight at the Bombardier
  5. If you’re fortunate enough, it’ll go straight and hit the center of the ARC, dealing the most damage & giving the most score
  6. You can destroy a leg joint with your gun to give an opening to get some pressure-free attempts and to ensure the ARC doesn’t move away
  7. Alternatively, you can bring Showstoppers to stun the Bombardier
  8. This WILL take a lot of effort no matter how you do this trial, prepare for this

Utilizing this method gives you the best odds at dealing the most damage.

You can also try to bait the Bombardier closer to the little office hut nearby, this’ll provide a lot of cover and safety to keep making attempts.

However, if you start struggling to keep the Bombardier in a good place, you can optionally bring Showstoppers to stun them before placing Pop Triggers.

Alternative Methods

Another method is to head to Stella Montis. Here, you can attempt to round up as many Shredders into one room as possible. This is done by baiting them into the room and closing the door on them. Once it’s safe, you can attempt to place a Pop Trigger between them all or towards them all from a safe spot and blast them. This method requires much more set-up, but could prove more consistent.

Matriarch

The Matriarch is also a possible method for pushing very high scores. It’s very high risk but the reward would be high. You’d have to bring in a Snap Hook and get inside the core of the Matriarch. Once inside, you can let off Pop Triggers inside, they shouldn’t fall out which means you’ll get full damage and score every time.

To enter the core of the Matriarch easily, Snap Hook up on top of it and look for this opening towards the back of the body. You can slip into the gap and get into the core!

If you manage to get into this set-up, you can push 20,000+ score pretty consistently. Just remember it’s very risky to attempt. When attempting to push for score on the Matriarch, bring the Combat MK.3 (Flanking) Augment. With this Augment, you can have several stacks of Pop Triggers available at one time, speeding up the process.

Can I use a Free Loadout for the Damage ARC enemies using Pop Triggers Weekly Trial?

No, you cannot realistically complete this trial with a Free Loadout. Without a ton of Pop Triggers you’ll stand no chance at getting rewards.
