To damage flying ARC using Snap Blast effectively:

  1. Load into any map with decent amounts of flying ARC (for example, Buried City, Riven Tides)
  2. In our example, we went to Buried City to quickly and efficiently find close-up flying ARC and deal with them using the Snap Blast
  3. Utilize cover as much as you can, while also aggroing and setting off Snitch alarms
  4. Each Snap Blast gets you around 300~ score. Wasps can only take realistically 1 Snap Blast before blowing up, however, Rocketeers can eat multiple. For example, 3 Snap Blasts together on a Rocketeer earns you around 1,000 score.
  5. As a result, about 10 or so Snap Blasts minimum are required to be stuck on a flying ARC to reach the 3,000 score 3-star reward threshold.
  6. Extract when finished!

Trial Preparation

This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.

Scoring

The scoring for this Trial only comes from damaging flying ARC with Snap Blast Grenades. Each stuck-on Snap Blast gets you around 300~ score. Of course, depending on the size of flying ARC, they can take more of a beating. For example, the Rocketeer can tank more than 3 Snap Blasts. As a result, you can earn upwards of 1,200+ score on a single Rocketeer. However, a Wasp explodes to one Snap Blast, netting 300~ score only.

What you’ll need

For this Trial, the objective requires dealing as much damage with Snap Blast Grenades to Flying ARC as possible. As a result, we recommend bringing a self-defense weapon to pick off other annoying ARC that could get in the way, some consumables, and most importantly, the Snap Blast Grenades:

To craft Snap Blast Grenades, you’ll need 1 Magnet and 2 Crude Explosives. You can refine Crude Explosives and even purchase up to 10 Magnets a day from Celeste.

Can I use a Free Loadout to damage Flying ARC using Snap Blast for the weekly Trials?

No, we currently do not recommend using a Free Loadout for this trial. You’ll need at least 12 Snap Blast Grenades to complete this trial with 3-star scoring. The only way a Free Loadout would be possible is to have a friend bring in all the Snap Blast Grenades for you.

Map

This weekly Trial can be completed on any map as long as there is flying ARC abundant. However, we’ve picked Buried City for ease of access to close-range engagements with flying ARC. Any map with the Close Scrutiny event active can be great too as there’s a ton of flying ARC involved. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is at any preferred condition you may have when playing.

The BEST Route for Maximizing Score

Damage Flying ARC using Snap Blast map

The strategy for this trial is nice and easy, takes no time at all and has minimal risk. Simply start out by checking our map for where a large flying ARC may spawn, get some height and scope out the situation.

Unfortunately, the large ARC by our spawn was not here at the beginning of the match, however, it could be for you if you spawn here! Instead, we decided to just start out with the medium ARC as everything provides decent score per Snap Blast.

You’ll want to utilize cover against flying ARC such as the Firefly and Hornet as they’re quite painful. They will deal a lot of damage together so it’s best to use as much line of sight as possible.

Quite often, the Hornets and Firefly can tank at least 1 Snap Blast, meaning you can maximize some good score on them. Already after dealing with just 1 Hornet and 1 Firefly, we earned over 1,100 score!

The best approach is to keep moving across the rooftops of the map looking for any flying ARC you can find. Finding large ARC is ideal, because they’re a large target that can tank many hits. However, do not be afraid to use your Snap Blast Grenades on any flying ARC (as long as you’re confident to land the grenades on them!).

If you destroy Snitch, you can utilize the Snitch Scanner it drops to spawn in 2 more Wasps. Alternatively, you can allow the Snitch to sound it’s alarm, spawning 2 Wasps and 1 Hornet.

Sometimes, when baiting the flying ARC to look for you in cover, they’ll get close enough that your Snap Blast hits both, allowing for great value per Snap Blast!

Once you’re out of Snap Blasts or close on time, head to an extract and enjoy your rewards.
