In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Deal Melee damage to ARC enemies to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for this Trial only comes from dealing melee damage to ARC enemies on any map or condition. Score per hit varies a lot (as low as 10, as high as 150).
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires dealing as much melee damage to ARC as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, a ton of stamina regeneration and maybe a gun to defend yourself with. We recommend bringing:
- Any gun + Ammo you feel like bringing as a back-up plan
Survivor MK.3 Augment - Medium Shield
- 5
Shield Rechargers - 5-10
Bandages - As many stacks of
Adrenaline Shots as possible
Can I use a Free Loadout for the deal melee damage to ARC enemies weekly Trial?
Yes, you can use a Free Loadout to get 3,000 score for your weekly 3-star rewards in this Trial. However, to get maximum score, it is advised to use an actual loadout to bring as many adrenaline shots as possible.
Should I use aggression-based matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.
Map
The best map to push for an effective score is Stella Montis. You can do this on the normal map or any conditions you prefer. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
The BEST Route for Maximizing Score
The best way to gain score for this trial is to look for a type of cover you can hide behind. Once you select a Shredder spawn that has cover nearby, you can begin building up your score.
Solo Lobby
After finding a Shredder, bait it to the location you want to keep using for cover. Do not be afraid to walk face-first into the Shredder while hitting it. This will cause the Shredder to always attack in a spot where you can abuse the cover.
You’ll want to make sure to always use your right-click (or left trigger/L2 on controller) when attacking the Shredder. This is because hitting the head of the Shredder deals the most damage per hit. After fully destroying a Shredder, you’ll earn around 2,900~ score. As a result, you’ll only need another hit or two on another ARC to get your 3,000 score for the 3-star rewards.
To deal damage as fast as possible, you’ll want to do a few rounds of melee swings into the Shredder’s head, and use an Adrenaline Shot to restore your stamina. As a solo, you can earn upwards of 70,000+ score on an uncontested run
Squad Lobby
Squad lobbies function exactly the same as the Solo Lobby strategy. However, you and your team can look for different Shredders and pummel them all simultaneously! Sticking to the strategy above is the most effective for score gain out of all options.
Additional Trial Tips
A nice little optimization trick you can use to make your experience a little more efficient is to look into your Raider Skill Tree.
Effortless Swing is a perk on the Skill Tree that makes Melee attacks cost less stamina per swing. As a result, it’s a no brainer to take this perk if you want to squeeze out more score.
Sky-Clearing Swing isn’t as much of a gain compared to Effortless Swing, however, there could be a time and place for this to gain you some extra score between Shredders – depending on where you rotate.
