The Gates to Auroria are Open
The wait is over. ArcheAge Chronicles went live in Steam Early Access on November 3, 2026, with the official "Early Access Is Now Live!" post landing on Steam just after the scheduled 3:00 PM PST start. Players in Korea saw it arrive on November 4 local time.
Early Access costs $29.99 in North America, with regional pricing elsewhere. There's a single Early Access package, and pre-order buyers get the Dawn Pioneer costume set for one class of their choice, claimed in-game from the main menu. XLGAMES says Early Access should run for roughly 9 to 12 months, and any price change at full release will be announced in advance.
If you're just getting started, our ArcheAge Chronicles hub has guides, maps and tools to help you find your feet.

Pick Your Server Carefully
In a notice posted on November 1, the team confirmed that characters cannot be transferred between servers during Early Access, and players on different servers can't play together. A transfer feature "may be considered" later, but there's no timeline. The short version: agree on a server with your friends before you create characters.
A separate notice on November 2 added two more points:
Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese have been added as machine translations. They are not officially supported yet, so expect some odd terms. You can switch under Options > General > Language.
Steam Family Sharing is not supported, because shared accounts could affect account management and the in-game economy.
Launch-day Issues and the Fix Plan
Launch day wasn't smooth for everyone. On November 4, XLGAMES published a notice apologising to players who couldn't progress and listing what it's working on.
Fixes ready (deployment date to be announced)
Tutorial quests that blocked progression
Bosses not spawning after a player leaves the area and comes back
Under investigation
The Malchuk boss not reappearing or failing to respawn after death
Quests not progressing after talking to NPCs in some areas, including Cliffs of Madness
Dungeons getting stuck when a party disbands or the leader leaves (workaround: stay together until the next area)
Some key items not being shared between party members
Stuck in the terrain? Press ESC and choose Escape. If that doesn't work, restart, log back in and try Escape again.
Planned improvements
Freely reassignable movement keys
A chat language filter, available now under Settings > Game Options > Chat Language Filter, with an option to hide chat entirely on the way
Clearer conditions for the party channel-transfer button
Crash fixes in the next patch, plus ongoing work on stutter and frame drops
The team also says it is reviewing combat feedback and looking at more localisation. Freezes while the anti-cheat starts up should be reported through Customer Support in the ESC menu.
Emergency Maintenance on November 4
A temporary maintenance window was scheduled for November 4 at 9:00 AM PT, lasting about two hours, to fix current issues and improve stability. The game is unavailable during maintenance, and the team says the schedule may change, with updates posted to the same notice.
What's Next: The December Update
The first Early Access update is planned for December 2026. It adds the Female Warrior, the first class with gender selection, and the Gladius as a third weapon for Warriors. Every class is set to get a third weapon over time, and the aim is to remove gender locks from all classes by full release.
Beyond that, the Steam store page lists expanded regions of Auroria, combat and progression refinements, quality-of-life features like party channels, and more life skills and community content. XLGAMES says a fuller roadmap will follow soon after launch.
