Have you ever felt like you’re carrying your entire team, no matter how well you play? Sometimes it feels like victory depends on everyone else at the table, not with these brawlers. These are the picks that can take over a match on their own, whether you’re climbing trophies, pushing Ranked, or just trying to win more games.

Here’s our countdown of the five brawlers that give you the best chance to carry your team.

What makes a solo carry

A solo carry brawler is one whose kit can single-handedly swing a match when a skilled player is behind the wheel. That’s less about how a brawler performs on average and more about its ceiling, meaning how much damage, control, or game-changing potential it unlocks once you know how to use it.

That distinction matters. A high-ceiling pick can post a lower average win rate than a simpler, more consistent brawler, since it often needs the right conditions, timing, or a bit more skill to pay off.

This list ranks carry potential, not the live win-rate leaderboard. Check our Tier List if you want to know how these five, and the rest of the roster, are performing right now.

The full list, counting down:

  1. Amber
  1. Crow
  1. Leon
  1. Surge
  1. Spike

5. Amber

Amber doesn’t need perfect aim to deal incredible damage. Her continuous stream of fire makes it easy to pressure multiple enemies at once, and her Super, Torch ‘Em!, lets her block off huge sections of the map.

That combination constantly forces opponents to move where she wants them to go. A great Amber player controls the pace of the entire match, which is exactly what makes her such a strong solo carry.

4. Crow

Crow wins games by making life miserable for the enemy team. Every poisoned dagger from his Switchblade attack prevents healing, chips away at health over time, and forces opponents to think twice before pushing forward.

His Super, Swoop, gives him incredible mobility, letting him finish off weakened enemies or escape a bad fight with ease. Even when you’re behind, Crow always finds a way to keep your team in the game.

3. Leon

Leon is the definition of a game changer. One well-timed Super can completely flip the outcome of a match.

His Super, Smoke Bomb, turns him invisible, letting him sneak behind enemy lines, eliminate key targets, and create opportunities that very few brawlers can. A skilled Leon doesn’t just win fights, he creates constant pressure simply by making the enemy team wonder where he is.

2. Surge

Surge becomes stronger every time his Super, Party Tricks, stacks up. What starts as an average brawler early on quickly turns into one of the most dangerous carry picks in the game by the late stages of a match.

He gets faster, gains more range, and deals serious damage the longer he survives. If you can make it through the early game, Surge has everything he needs to take over a match almost by himself.

1. Spike

Few brawlers are as consistently threatening as Spike. He combines massive damage from his Needle Grenade attack, strong area control, and one of the best Supers in the game.

His attacks punish grouped enemies, while his Super, Stick Around!, slows opponents and makes escaping almost impossible. No matter the game mode, Spike always has the tools to turn a losing fight into a winning one.

He’s reliable, versatile, and capable of carrying games at nearly every skill level, which is exactly why he takes our top spot.

Best solo carry by playstyle

  • Want safe, consistent area damage: Amber doesn’t need pinpoint aim to pressure a whole team.
  • Enjoy disruption and mobility: Crow’s poison and speed let him swing fights even when behind.
  • Love picking off key targets: Leon’s invisibility creates game-changing moments few brawlers can match.
  • Can play patiently and scale into the late game: Surge turns from average to unstoppable the longer a match runs.
  • Want the most consistent, do-everything pick: Spike’s mix of damage and control works in almost any mode.

FAQ

Is this ranking based on win rate or carry potential?

This list ranks carry ceiling, meaning how much a skilled player can do with each brawler, not live win-rate data. For current competitive standings across the full roster, check our Tier List.

What makes a brawler a good solo carry pick?

A strong solo carry brawler can swing a match through damage, crowd control, or a game-changing Super, even without a coordinated team behind it. Positioning and decision-making still matter more than the brawler itself.

Can a high-ceiling brawler have a low win rate?

Yes. Brawlers that need setup, precise timing, or a specific skill level to pay off often show a lower average win rate than simpler, more consistent picks, even when their ceiling is higher.

Does this ranking change with balance updates?

Yes, every brawler’s strength shifts with balance patches. Check our Tier List for how these five, and everyone else, are performing right now.
