Desert Robes Description
Desert Robes is a tier 4 chest, unlocked by studying the Sun-Bleached Vest vestige, crafted at the Armour Bench with 12 Garou Weave, 3 Scorch Leather, 3 Refined Obsidian and 3 Gypsum Wax. Loose-fitting and breathable, this robe protects against the sun’s harsh glare while allowing air to flow freely.
Lore
The desert is a cruel and unforgiving place, and that was before Fuzan corrupted the sun against it. Dry air, filled with sand particles, leech all moisture from the body, leaving you dehydrated, exhausted and with no respite in view. Oases can be mirages, tricks played by the dunes to lure you deeper into your own destruction. These robes help to limit some of the desert’s power, through ancient tricks learned by those who have dwelled within the dunes for generations.
Robes are freeing, allowing the body to breathe and allowing moisture to evaporate, cooling you down. They’re also easy to brush down, expelling sand that has crept its way into all the most uncomfortable parts.
This desert outfit was apparently passed down to the Moon Garou by the River Mother, who brought the lessons she had learned from her own deserts with her. She taught them how to craft them, how to fold the patterns for best effect and she taught the Moon Garou how to dance in them.
On rare festivals, the Moon Garou will attach ribbons, bells and obsidian glass shards to their robes. When they dance it creates a glorious swirling medley of colour, sound and glittering sparkles.
