Popular among gnomes, this sticky ball of fruits and vegetables is a combination of savoury and sweet that almost feels like it shouldn’t work. Yet it does.

There is a crispness to the outer shell, savoury and salty, which gives way to a delicious fruity sweetness beneath.

Gnomish ambassadors would create large numbers of these sweet treats, piled high on silver platters, to delight visiting dignitaries at lavish receptions. Diplomats would often joke about being spoiled by such treats. Wh
