The crystal tree is a magical thing, a native to the elven world Tarddiad and brought to Gielinor when the elves migrated. Unlike most seeds it is nourished not by soil, nor sunlight, but by music. Elf song reaches into the crystal, creating a harmonious resonance that causes the crystal to thrive.

As well as growing trees, this seed can also be sung into specific shapes and forms, becoming a tool or weapon of great power.
