Elder Curiosities is a material, used to craft Ground Obsidian, dropped by KotHaar-Hur or KotHaar-Kal. Obsidian curiosities that feel pleasing in the hand. Can be ground and smelted into pure obsidian.

On mainland Gielinor, the TzHaar and TokHaar have a hereditary forging process. Their entire body mass, every ounce of them, is reconstituted from their ancestors via the Elder Kiln. Depending on your philosophical leanings, they ARE their ancestors, carrying the memories and materials of their predecessors onto a new life.
The KotHaar have taken a different path. They are genealogical alloys. The material of their ancestors is included in the forging process within the Cave of Screams, but there is a thick vein of something else in their composition. It is difficult to know what this 'mixer' is - whether it is from the Lens, the finder of the Lens, or Fuzan's fire - but the result is a race that the TzHaar would consider heretical. The KotHaar have lost any memory of their ancestors, and those that have been cast into the Cave of Screams are all in thrall to Fuzan.
