Lore
Few foes can stand against a great big slab of metal, filed down to the keenest edge. The weight of a great sword applied tremendous pressure across the edge, meaning that victims of a swing tend to find themselves falling to pieces in the face of it… quite literally.
The adamant greatsword is stronger than most blades, with only a handful of other metals offering sturdier construction. It was forged first by the legendary hero, Connakt, a Moon Garou warrior of great regard. Massive was his frame, and so he required a similarly sized blade in battle. He wielded his greatsword in a single hand, terrifying all who stood before him.
Connakt, it is said, travelled beyond the Umbral Sands, and indeed beyond Ashenfall, though the legends on how he did so vary greatly. They say that he travelled far away, settled down somewhere and had a family.
His greatsword “Sgian ìm” was buried with him.
