Twinblade and Rope Dart DPS Build Guide – Where Winds Meet
Twinblade and Rope Dart PvE Guide
This is a guide for a high DPS build in Where Winds Meet that utilizes the Twinblades for main damage and the Rope Dart for utility.
The general idea is that you use the Rope Dart to spawn rats that deal passive damage, and then you switch to the Twinblades to hit the enemy repeatedly. It is not particularly difficult to execute, which is good if you prefer a relaxed time while playing.
The Basic Concept
The core of this build is synergy. You are not using the Rope Dart to fight normally. You are using it to summon “Rodents” (rats). These rats attack the enemy on their own. Once the rats are active, you switch to your Twinblades.
While the rats are biting the enemy, you use the Twinblades to deal rapid damage. The Twinblades have a “Berserk” or “Desert” mode that increases critical hit chance. When you combine the passive damage from the rats with the fast attacks of the blades, the numbers get quite high.

Weapon Skills and Rotation
For those who want to know exactly what buttons to press, here is the order. It is repetitive, but most things in life are.
The Opener (Rope Dart)
- Start with the Rope Dart equipped.
- Charge Attack: Hold the attack button for about one second. This buffs your rats so they do more damage.
- Skill ‘V’ (Rodent Spawn): Press this twice. This spawns the rats.
- Skill ‘Q’: This applies a “Vendetta” token to the enemy. It is a debuff that makes the rats deal 50% more damage.
- Swap: Press ‘Tab’ to switch to Twinblades immediately. Do not stay on Rope Dart.

The Damage Phase (Twinblade)
- Skill ‘V’ (Calamity Greed): This is your main skill. It is a two-part attack. You throw the spinning blade out. When it returns to your hand, it will shine and make a sound.
- The Timing: When it shines, press ‘V’ again. You will do two strong slashes. This puts you in an “Enlightened” state and reduces the cooldown of your ‘Q’ skill by 3 seconds.
- Skill ‘Q’: Use this in between your ‘V’ attacks. It helps with closing gaps if the boss moves, though the video suggests simply running or using the ‘Cloud Step’ mystic skill is better for movement.
- Berserk Mode: The goal is to stay in the rage/desert mode where you get increased Crit Rate. Just keep left-clicking (standard attacks) while in this mode if your skills are on cooldown.

Inner Ways and Passives
The passive skills—or Inner Skills—are very important for making the numbers go up.
- Echoes of Oblivion: This increases your damage significantly, especially when you are in the Twinblade’s special “Desert” mode. It is the most important one.
- Moral Chant: This is the most important one even for other builds as it gives you a buff which stacks.
- Breaking Point: This increases damage during the “execute phase” (when the boss is low on health). It also adds a Damage Over Time (DoT) effect.
- Vendetta: This specifically buffs the damage of your Rope Dart rats. If you do not have the pages to unlock this, you can use Fivefold Bleed instead, which stacks bleed damage.
- Bitter Seasons: Another alternative if you lack specific class pages. It applies poison and lowers the enemy’s defense.

Mystic Skills
These are the special abilities you slot in.
- Soaring Spin: We like this one the most. It does a large amount of damage and reduces enemy healing. It can also be canceled with a parry if you need to move quickly.
- Drunken Poet: This works well if combined with a fire breath attack, but even on its own, it provides decent damage output.
- Cloud Steps: This is the gap closer that we use. It also deals bonus damage on Weak Point Break.

Gear and Stat Priority
The gearing process involves some luck with “Tuning” stones. You cannot control everything, but you should look for specific stats.
Primary Stats to look for:
- Crit Rate: This is the most important stat. The Twinblade build relies on critical hits.
- Agility: This attribute increases your Crit Rate naturally.
- Physical Attack (Max/Min): Higher base numbers are obviously better.
- Affinity: This appears as orange text damage numbers. It is rare, but very strong. If you have to choose between Affinity and Crit Rate, choose Crit Rate.

Set Bonuses: You should aim for the Calmwater and Swallowcall 4-piece set bonuses. These amplify light attacks (your standard left-clicks) and increase damage against enemies with low health.
Summary
That is the build. You summon rats, you switch weapons, and you spin your blades. If you get the timing right on the Twinblade return catch, your cooldowns will be shorter, and you can hit the boss more often. It works well for raids.
