To complete an Egg Heist run in Aniimo, enter the Lost Isles, find an egg inside a Sanctum, twine with it, and deliver it back to the Egg Boat once you have met the extraction requirements. It is a three-player PvE mode built around finding rare eggs and getting them out alive.

How to Unlock Egg Heist in Aniimo
Egg Heist unlocks once you clear enough of Idyll’s early story and world progression to raise your account rank and you are level 50. You can click on the option in your menu to see what level is required.
Once it unlocks, Egg Heist stays available from the mode select screen every time you load in, with no separate daily or weekly limit announced. Queue in as often as your gear and Eggshell Coins allow.

What to Bring into the Lost Isles
Before your first run, equip a backpack, a protective unit, and an attack amplifier from your inventory screen. These three slots determine how much loot you can carry out and how much damage you deal or avoid against beginner-tier enemies inside the Sanctum.
- Backpack: Sets your total carry capacity for the run. Larger backpacks cost more at the Egg Boat vendor but let you hold onto higher-value loot instead of leaving it behind.
- Protective unit: Reduces incoming damage from beginner-tier Aniimo. Like all heist gear, it has durability that wears down and needs repairing or replacing between runs.
- Attack amplifier: Boosts your damage output against the same beginner-tier enemies. Equip the highest grade you can afford, since it has a noticeable effect on how quickly you clear a room.
- Support team: Fill your three assistant slots with Aniimo that are past their Lumen stage, since a Lumen-stage Aniimo has no active ability to contribute. Only your main Aniimo fights directly, so the other three exist to grant their support skill on a cooldown.
Repair worn gear at the Egg Boat vendor for a coin cost, or replace it once repairs are no longer possible. Check your equipment condition before committing to a Hard or Nightmare run, since broken gear offers no protection at all.
How to Complete an Egg Heist Run, Step by Step
An Egg Heist run follows the same basic loop regardless of difficulty: land, loot, find the egg, and extract before your enemies catch up with you. This is the order MetaForge’s own runs found most reliable.
- Choose your team and difficulty. Select your main Aniimo for combat and your three support Aniimo, then pick Normal, Hard, or Nightmare before queuing in solo or with up to two other players.
- Land and scan the beach. You spawn near the coastline with a short countdown; open the map to spot the two Sanctum entrances, one usually close to your boat and one placed elsewhere on the island.
- Loot the open world first. Break open containers on the beach and outer island area before heading underground, since anything found here does not cost you a Sanctum trip.
- Pick an entrance. The main entrance is the steadier route in, while the side entrance tends to lead to better loot but puts you closer to tougher enemy clusters.
- Clear rooms and open chests. Fight through the Aniimo guarding each room and prioritize higher-tier chests over common ones, since the loot inside makes the bigger difference to your total value.
- Find the egg nest and dig. Once you reach a room with a nest, interact with it to start the dig prompt, which produces an egg once completed.
- Twine with the egg and head back. Twining locks you out of attacking, so you can only roll and dash while carrying the egg. Retrace your route to the Egg Boat, since traveling as an egg makes you an easy target for any Aniimo still nearby.
- Deliver the egg and check your requirements. Interact with the boat to hand over the egg, then check whether you have met the loot value needed to extract safely.
- Choose to evacuate or push for more. Once requirements are met, evacuate immediately and keep everything collected, or head back into the Sanctum for another loot pass before time runs out.
Egg Heist Difficulty Tiers Explained
Egg Heist runs on four difficulty tiers: Normal, Hard, Nightmare, and Chaos Mode, the last of which Pawprint Studio added specifically to give experienced players a harder target beyond Nightmare. Higher tiers put tougher Aniimo between you and the egg nest but tend to reward better loot for finishing.

Match your difficulty to your gear rather than your account level, and hold off on Nightmare or Chaos Mode until your equipment is fully repaired and your support team is past Lumen stage. That preparation is what keeps one bad fight from costing you the whole run instead of just the current loot bag.
What Happens if You Die in Egg Heist
Dying inside Egg Heist costs you everything in your backpack and every piece of gear equipped for the run, with one exception. Items moved into your Egg Boat Safe beforehand are protected regardless of how the run ends, so anything you cannot afford to lose belongs there first.
New accounts get a cushion for this. Beginner Protection gives you a limited number of deaths, tracked in the top right of the screen as remaining matches, during which dying does not trigger the normal loot and gear loss. Once that allowance runs out, every death carries the full penalty.
Getting surrounded by multiple Aniimo at once was the deadliest situation MetaForge’s testers ran into, particularly around egg nests and timed events. Clear a room fully before you loot or dig, and keep a support skill off cooldown for the moment enemies converge.
Egg Heist Rewards and Egg Hunter Rank
Finishing a run rewards Eggshell Coins from sold loot, the egg itself delivered by mail once you extract safely, and progress toward your Egg Hunter rank, which unlocks additional talent points and account-wide upgrades as it climbs.
- Eggshell Coins: Earned by selling loot at the Egg Boat vendor after a run, and spent on backpacks, repairs, keys, and shop eggs.
- Delivered eggs: Sent to your in-game mail once you extract, rather than added straight to your inventory, so check your mail after every successful run.
- Prismana shell shards: A currency earned by hatching the eggs you bring back, used specifically in the Egg Heist shop rather than the general shop.
- Egg Hunter rank: Climbs with successful extractions and unlocks its own reward tier and talent points, giving you a reason to keep running Egg Heist beyond your first few eggs.
Cross-check current item and egg values on the Aniimo Database before deciding what to sell versus what to keep for talents or repairs.
Talent points earned through rank progression go into permanent upgrades split across categories such as stamina, carrying capacity, and search speed. Put your first points into stamina or carry capacity, since that combination makes the biggest difference to how much of a Sanctum you can clear before heading back.
Take Your Loadout into the Lost Isles
You now have what you need to queue into Egg Heist with a loadout that survives contact with the Sanctum: a repaired backpack, an equipped protective unit and attack amplifier, and a support team stocked with Aniimo past their Lumen stage.
Start on Normal to learn your entrance layout and nest locations before spending Beginner Protection matches on Hard or Nightmare. Once you have delivered a few eggs and banked some Eggshell Coins, put talent points into stamina or carry capacity so each run pulls in more loot before you have to extract.
From there, the loop repeats: gear up at the Egg Boat vendor, queue in, dig up an egg, and bring it home.

Can you play Egg Heist with players who are a different level than you?
Egg Heist supports parties of up to three players no matter what level each person is, since the mode’s team cap is a per-run limit rather than a level-matching system. The official Aniimo Steam listing confirms this three-player cap, so a higher or lower level teammate can join your run.
What happens if a teammate extracts before you do?
In Egg Heist, each player controls their own extraction and evacuates independently, so a teammate reaching the Egg Boat and leaving does not end the run for anyone still inside. You keep looting, fighting, or searching for eggs until you choose to evacuate yourself, die, or the run timer expires.
Is Egg Heist available on Aniimo’s mobile version?

Does the Sanctum layout stay the same if you re-enter it?
No, the Sanctum’s internal layout regenerates every time you enter it, while the outer Lost Isles map stays fixed between attempts. Leaving through the Egg Boat and heading back in puts you into a new arrangement of rooms, chests, and egg nests, not the one you just left.
Do different types of Egg Heist eggs need different hatching approaches?
Eggs already confirmed as a specific type before hatching, such as an Umbra or Prismana egg, don’t need an Aniipod ultra spent on them, since the outcome is already locked in. Save your Aniipod ultras for unmarked eggs instead, where the eventual result is still unknown until you hatch it.
