To damage ARC using a single Jump Mine (Explosive Mine) effectively:

  1. Load into any map that has a Bombardier or Stella Montis to lock Shredders in a room together
  2. Bait the Bombardier in a good place of cover or use Lure Grenades
  3. Either take out a leg with a heavy weapon, or use Lure Grenade to expose the Bombardier Core
  4. Place Jump Mine (Explosive Mine) near the legs of the Bombardier that have no armor OR on the Bombardier’s Core
  5. If it hits perfectly, you should get around 3000~ score – this is not consistent and can be very difficult!
  6. Bring multiple Jump Mines (Explosive Mine) to attempt this, it will be very likely that you do not succeed first try

In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and damage ARC using a single Jump Mine to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.

Trial Preparation

This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.

Scoring

The scoring for this Trial only comes from dealing damage with a single Jump Mine (also known as an Explosive Mine in-game) to ARC. This is a tricky task as the damage dealt is very hard to push up high. As a result, you’ll need to carefully plan around the ARC you place the Jump Mine for. For example, exposing the Core of a Bombardier and then placing the Jump Mine on the core.

What you’ll need

For this Trial, the objective requires dealing as much damage to ARC with a single Jump Mine as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need basic medical consumables, a gun to defend yourself with and some Jump Mines (Explosive Mines). We recommend bringing:

Can I use a Free Loadout for the Damage ARC using a single Jump Mine weekly Trial?

No, you cannot realistically complete this trial with a Free Loadout. Without Jump Mines you cannot attempt this challenge and you cannot get these with a Free Loadout.

Map

There is not a best map to recommend for this Trial. However, we recommend trying on Riven Tides as there’s always a Bombardier spawn without a condition active. You can do this on the normal map or any conditions you prefer. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!

First, you’ll want to utilize cover around any of the Bombardier spawns. There’s a couple of approaches to attempt, for example, you can slowly take apart the armor from the Bombardiers legs. After breaking the armor, you can destroy a leg joint to walk up safely and plant a jump mine directly onto the exposed pieces. It is very important that you destroy the Spotters before attempting any of this.

Utilizing this method, or exposing the core located on the back of the Bombardier (you have to break off the yellow part on the back) gives you the best odds at dealing the most damage.

Alternative Methods

Another method is to head to Stella Montis. Here, you can attempt to round up as many Shredders into one room as possible. This is done by baiting them into the room and closing the door on them. Once it’s safe, you can attempt to place a Jump Mine between them all from a safe spot and blast them all. This method requires much more set-up, but could prove more consistent.
