Damage Comets: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
To damage Comets effectively:
- Load into any map (our choice is Buried City) on a 2x Event Condition
- You’ll find Comets spawning between buildings and outside in general most of the time
- Hit the center mass 3-4 times when it opens up with Heavy Ammo weapons such as the
Anvil or something like a 
Hullcracker - Engage the Comet from a distance to prevent it from self-destructing and losing score
- You’ll earn 1200 score per fully damage and destroyed Comet.

Preparing for the ARC Raiders Damage Comets Trial
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires a 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for this Trial comes from damaging Comets. Each Comet fully damaged and destroyed by you or your party nets around 1200~ score during a 2x event condition.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires you to damage Comets. For this to be effective, you’ll need a strong weapon that uses Heavy Ammo, or an ARC-killer weapon (legendary weapons for example). We recommend bringing:
Jupiter or Hullcracker or Anvil and their ammo types (Energy Clips, Launcher Ammo, Heavy Ammo)- Ideally bring a
Survivor MK.3 just incase things go wrong and you need to reset 
Medium Shield to tank more- 10
Shield Rechargers - 10+
Bandages and/or 
Herbal Bandages - 10
Adrenaline Shot - Some
Smoke Grenades to avoid awkward situations
Can I use a Free Loadout for the Damage Comets weekly Trial?
Yes, you can use a Free Loadout to get 4,000 score for your weekly 3-star rewards in this Trial. However, to get a larger score for promotion, we recommend a full loadout as your ammo and resources would be limited otherwise.
Should I use aggression-based matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.
Map
For this weekly trial, you can enter any map with any 2x event active. However, we recommend a map such as Buried City due to the size of the map being small and Comet spawns being pretty close to each other. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
The BEST strategy for Maximizing Score
Buried City is a great map for this Trial due to how easy it is to traverse the whole, small map. Also, the Comets are not that far apart from each other. As a result, it’s easy to string together Comets in a simple route.
Solo Lobby
Following this route is simple and gets plenty of Comets destroyed and damaged for maximum score. If you get lucky, you’ll be able to see the far-out Comets too and maybe snag some more score. By the time you reach the final Comet at Outskirts and head back to West Village, you’ll have a good chance of the Comets respawning. As a result, you can loop this route until the end of the raid.
You can easily rack up 12,000-20000+ score on a good solo run if you start early enough.
Squad Lobby
In Trio Squads, you can divide the task and cover these three areas with your party. This way, you’ll guarantee every far-out Comet for the party while clearing the more Comet-dense areas of the map.
How to deal with the Comet
Dealing with a Comet is simple, to deal the most damage to it, you’ll need it to open up. A Comet opens up when it locks onto a Raider, making a clean kill time-sensitive.
However, with a strong weapon like a Hullcracker or Jupiter, it’s easy to fully damage and destroy a Comet in one shot. You can use an Anvil too but it’ll take around 3-4 shots at the center of the Comet to destroy it. Alternatively, you can shoot it from range on a rooftop and destroy them.
In Trios, you’ll easily achieve 20,000+ score for a high weekly Trial result.
Fast 3-Star Rewards and Alternative Options for the ARC Raiders Damage Comets Trial
To gain a 4000 score for the 3-Star Rewards:
- Spawn in on Buried City with a 2x event condition active
- Head towards the center of the map
- Following our map above, quickly take out 4 Comets along the path with a Hullcracker or Anvil
- Head to the nearest extract and enjoy your rewards!
