Damage Flying ARC enemies inside the Spaceport walls: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too), the goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards each week too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Damage flying ARC enemies inside the Spaceport walls to maximize your score (or get your fill and get out) and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The key to gaining score in “Damage flying ARC enemies inside the Spaceport walls” is to avoid shooting the propellers off and focusing the center of the Wasps, Hornets, Snitches, Fireflies and Rocketeers with your shots. You can expect to gain the following score per unit on 2x event modifiers:
- Wasp = 242
- Firefly = 440
- Hornet = 440
- Snitch = 348
- Rocketeer = 2420
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires you to Damage flying ARC enemies inside the Spaceport walls as much possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, a good weapon for killing small and large flying ARC – and a ton of ammo and explosives. We recommend bringing:
Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate) and/or
Renegade
Tactical MK.2
Light Shield- 10
Shield Rechargers - 10-15
Bandages - 120+
Heavy Ammo - 80-160
Medium Ammo (if you bring a Renegade, maybe less ammo if you bring both weapons) - 5-10
Adrenaline Shots - 3-6
Barricade Kits - As many
Snitch Scanners as possible - Several
Wolfpack Grenades or
Seeker Grenades (Optional) - A couple of
Ziplines to get into a good spot and/or a
Snap Hook
You can also choose to bring in a
Jupiter as a more expensive option. If you do this, we recommend dropping the Anvil for the Jupiter, and keep the Renegade with around 80 Medium Ammo. If you need more Medium Ammo, Hornets can drop that for you. As a result, you’ll need some space for
Energy Clips.
Most of the above can be tweaked to your preference, however, this set-up ensures you can move around the map, effectively deal with all ARC threats and cover yourself should an opponent get the jump on you.
Can I use a Free Loadout to do the Damage flying ARC enemies inside the Spaceport walls weekly Trials?
You definitely can use Free Loadout to get yourself your 3-star reward for the week. However, we personally do not recommend this option due to lack of ammo and explosives options if you want a high score.
Should I use Aggression-based Matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.
Snitch Scanners
The Snitch Scanner is the most important part of getting maximum score from this Trial. You can farm Snitch Scanners by coming into any map with a basic loadout (and at least 1 safe pocket). Simply shoot down any Snitch you come across and loot the Scanner from them. You can stack 3 Scanners in one slot, meaning you can guarantee up to 9 Scanners per farm run (more if you get extract safely). A single Snitch scanner spawns in two Wasps.
Map
Seeing as this weekly trial can only be done on Spaceport, the best option is to attempt the trial on the Hidden Bunker 2x event. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
Hidden Bunker gives you a 40-minute raid timer to work with. As a result, you’ll find the best score potential here.
The BEST Location for Maximizing Score
Our preferred spot for this Trial as a solo is either on top of the Launch Tower, or on top of the Trench towers. For the Trench towers, you’ll need to set-up a couple of Ziplines or use a Snap Hook. Both of these vantage points helps you find plenty of Flying ARC within the walls, and a safe place to throw Snitch Scanners. After all, you don’t want other solos taking your Wasps!
As can be seen above, the red outer-line indicates the “walls” of Spaceport. As a result, you’ll want to pull and damage any flying ARC within these red lines for them to count.
Next, you’ll want to set-up your Barricades to provide more coverage (or perhaps even block the ziplines up to you) and begin throwing your Snitch Scanners. A Snitch Scanner spawns in two Wasps each time one is thrown. It is important to note that you should not throw too many too quickly, the game instance limits the amount of ARC spawns that can happen at one time. As a result, pay close attention to your Snitch Scanner throws, as you may forget to pick up a Snitch Scanner that didn’t activate. You’ll know if they activate by hearing the Snitch Alarm sound with a beam coming down from the sky.
Once you’re in position, simply start damaging & destroying any Flying ARC you can find. If they’re outside of the wall, make sure to shoot them with your “weaker” weapon. This is so you can aggro them inside the Spaceport walls to make them count.
Trios & Party play
For Trios, you’ll want to split up across three different sections for coverage. Have a play position themselves at:
- Trench Towers
- Control Tower
- Launch Tower
With the party split like this, you’ll have full coverage of the map and be able to pace your Snitch Scanners out between. You can easily expect over 70,000+ score with this method. We currently estimate the highest possible end being potentially 150,000+ score.
Easy way to Fast 3-star Damage Flying ARC Enemies inside the Spaceport walls
While the Snitch Scanner method is both quick, easy and safe – it also requires time to set-up due to farming the Snitch Scanners. As a result, if you want to quickly get 4000 score for your 3-star Damage flying ARC enemies inside the Spaceport walls, we recommend bringing in some Wolfpack Grenades. Use the Wolfpack Grenades to take out 1-2 Rocketeers and round out your score with smaller flying ARC if you didn’t catch a 2nd Rocketeer. Alternatively, you can set-up on one of the three main vantage points and destroy around 10 Hornets/Fireflies.
