The Dockmaster's Detector is a gadget that helps Raiders find buried objects in the sand. It is used specifically during the Beachcombing map condition on the Riven Tides map. When active, it provides sound cues and visual signals to show how close you are to a hidden item. Using the detector slows your movement speed and consumes its energy, which recharges gradually when not in use. Even if you carry multiple detectors, they all share the same energy meter, so carrying more won't give you longer usage time.
