Destroy Ticks: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
To destroy Ticks effectively, you’ll want to:
- Prepare your loadout and head into Stellar Montis
- Head to the Cultural Archives and Seed Vault locations
- Clear out the large amount of ticks in those areas
- Repeat until you wish to leave and claim your rewards!
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3,000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires destroying as many Ticks as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, a good weapon for killing smaller ARC, and a Heavy Ammo weapon to deal with Shredders. We recommend bringing:
Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate – helps deal with the Shredder)
Looting MK.2 (Looting MK.2 is great for getting the Ticks off of you fast due to the passive. Also means you won’t get caught by one while fighting a Shredder)
Light Shield- 5-10
Shield Rechargers - 10-15
Bandages - 120+
Heavy Ammo - 2-5
Smoke Grenades - 3
Trigger ‘Nades or 10-15 
Light Impact Grenades (Optional)
Most of the above can be tweaked to your preference, however, this set-up ensures you can move around the map, effectively deal with all ARC threats and cover yourself should an opponent get the jump on you.
Which map is best for this trial?
The best map to push for the maximum score possible is Stella Montis on any condition. For map conditions that you prefer, check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is for a specific condition!
How to get the best score for this trial
Depending on your spawn, you’ll have an initially tough time safely reaching the location. Also, being on Stella Montis, there can be a TON of dangerous PVP in the first 10 minutes. As a result, be very alert when traveling through to the route. Please note: This method is good for solo, however, trios works the same way. Each Tick destroyed gives you 308 score, meaning 10 Ticks is the minimum required for a 3-star reward score.
You’ll only need to bounce between two locations for this Trial, these locations are:
- Seed Vault
- Cultural Archives
Seed Vault
The Seed Vault is the perfect place for the Destroy Ticks Trial. You can actually more or less instantly complete your 3-star 3,000 score for the week in this one spot. As a result, we recommend heading straight to the Seed Vault to start your rotation, or to get your quick 3-star. If you’re only looking for the 3,000 score, you can clear Seed Vault & extract via the Airshaft. If you’re missing any score – you can pop into the Archive.
Start your maximum score rotation by entering the Seed Vault and clearing it out. Be careful of the Turrets that can spawn inside.
Cultural Archives
Next, you’ll want to head up the north stairwell just outside of the Seed Vault and enter the Cultural Archives. Here, you’ll want to be very careful in this location, as many Shredders frequent the area. If you bring Light Impact Grenades and an Anvil, you can deal with them pretty effectively. To defeat a Shredder, simply bait the Shredder to activate, line of sight the Shredder until it stops, then shoot it.
You’ll want to sweep the entire area, checking all the side rooms just incase there is a spawn. The Looting MK.2 is fantastic for this POI due to the quick passive removal of Ticks. This is especially important due to the Shredders attacking you too.
This is essentially the entire route! You’ll want to quickly bounce between the two locations – which is fairly simple, thankfully. With enough time in raid (and little to no Raider distraction), you’ll achieve more than enough points to your 3-star, but also the maximum possible for your overall score for the week. Can I use a Free Loadout for the Destroy Ticks Weekly Trial?
Yes, you can use a Free Loadout to get 3-star rewards for this trial. To kill 10 Ticks is not a hard task, you can even technically do it with your melee tool only. As a result, you can easily load in on a Free Loadout and complete the objective.
