Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too). The goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards each week too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Disarm Mines during Locked Gate to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.

Trial Preparation

This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.

Scoring

The scoring for this Trial comes from disarming mines during Locked Gate on Blue Gate. Each mine during the Locked Gate event gives you 300 score.

What you’ll need

For this Trial, the objective requires nothing but your own interact keybind. You’ll simply have to look for mines around key areas and interact with them. However, you’ll need a basic gun to help deal with ARC and a lot of mobility utility. We recommend bringing:

Can I use a Free Loadout to do the disarm mines during Locked Gate weekly Trials?

You definitely can use a Free Loadout to disarm mines during Locked Gate. The only downside is going to be the lack of Adrenaline Shots to move between POIs. However, this is a risk-free option to at least get your 3-star rewards.

Should I use Aggression-based Matchmaking for friendly lobbies?

Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.

Map

For this weekly trial, you have to enter the Blue Gate map during the Locked Gate Event. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!

How to Disarm Mines during Locked Gate

To Disarm a mine, you have to listen out for a slight beeping sound each one makes. As you get closer, the sound gets louder. Carefully step onto the mine itself, it’ll click and show a “Disarm” interact prompt. Interact with the mine and you’ll disarm it! Each mine nets you 300 score.

The BEST Route for Maximizing Score

While there is no set route to “follow” in this Trial, we do have some recommendations on logical movements and priorities.

For this weekly trial, mines spawn around the 4 main locations that also hold the Locked Gate event keycards. These locations are:

  • Pilgrim’s Peak
  • Raider’s Refuge
  • Ancient Fort
  • Reinforced Reception

As a solo, depending on spawn, you’ll want to ideally start at Ancient Fort, Pilgrim’s Peak or Reinforced Reception. This is due to these three locations having the most mines. In this example, we’ll start at Reinforced Reception.

Starting at Reinforced Reception, you’ll want to utilize the map to check for as many mines to disarm as possible. As soon as you think you’ve had enough, rotate to Pilgrim’s Peak. After Pilgrim’s, head straight to Ancient Fort, making use of Adrenaline Shots to out-race anyone else doing the Trial. Finally, head to Raider’s Refuge (that we leave until last due to less mines on average) to pick up any additional score. You can simply extract after! You can expect around 5000-15,000~ score solo unless you get an insanely empty run in terms of other Raiders attempting the trial.

It is important to note that some of these areas will be very ARC-dense. As a result, keep your smokes and/or Photoelectric Cloak at the ready to avoid pulling aggro at the worst times. Pilgrim’s Peak is probably the most dangerous location with the most flying ARC such as Rocketeers.

Duos/Trio Party

In a team environment, your best bet is to split each player off into one of the three highest density mine locations. For example:

  • Player 1: Pilgrim’s Peak
  • Player 2: Ancient Fort
  • Player 3: Reinforced Reception

Whoever is finished first out of Player 2 and Player 3 can immediately rotate to Raider’s Refuge.

However, if your team does spawn close to Raider’s Refuge and you make that run your attempt, do not ignore the location as you may be too late when reaching the other locations. We personally recommend trying to get a raid where you spawn next to one of the three major locations. You can easily obtain 20,000+ score this way.

Fast 3-Star Rewards and Alternative Options

To gain 4000 score for the 3-Star Rewards, spawn in as a Free Loadout and keep resetting until you spawn at either Ancient Fort, Pilgrim’s Peak or Reinforced Reception. As soon as you spawn at one of these locations, begin your race to disarm as many mines as you can! To reach 4000 score, you’ll need 14 mines, giving you a total of 4200. Once you’ve disarmed 14 mines in one or two of the most dense locations, immediately extract for your rewards!
