Loot Bird’s Nests: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials

Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too). The goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards each week too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Loot Bird’s Nests to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.

Trial Preparation

This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.

Scoring

The scoring for this Trial comes from only one source. As a result, every Bird’s Nest you interact with inside a rooftop chimney yields 180 score. Also, the Bird’s Nest doesn’t have to be freshly searched by you, nests already search by another raider count!

What you’ll need

For this Trial, the objective requires you to loot as many Bird’s Nests as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, almost any weapon for killing small ARC and some utilities. We recommend bringing:

• You can use any weapon as you’ll only need to maybe ward off small ARC periodically. Anvil IV is fine too (Can be Anvil I for cost efficiency)
• Any Augment
• Light Shield
• 5 Shield Rechargers
• 5 Bandages
• 80+ Heavy Ammo
• 5 Adrenaline Shots

Can I use a Free Loadout to Loot Bird’s Nests?

Yes! You absolutely can use a Free Loadout to Loot Bird’s nests for this weekly trial. You won’t need a grand or pricey loadout to enjoy a high score from this trial.

Should I get into peaceful lobbies via Aggression-based Matchmaking?

We highly recommend getting yourself into friendly and peaceful lobbies for these trials for a stress-free experience. You can do this by going into several raids and dying without shooting another player. For example, you can load in with no gear and press “Surrender” until you’re done.

Map

The only map you can complete this trial on is Buried City with the Bird Cityevent enabled. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!

The BEST Route for Maximizing Score

The best way to gain score is to understand and know where the majority of the chimneys are located, and to create a sort of pathway route for yourself. This ensures you use your time as efficiently as possible for score.

Solo Bird’s Nest Loot Route

While you can technically start anywhere, if you spawn near either of the starting points shown above, then this is perfect for the route. From here, you can follow the green path to cover as much of the rooftops as possible. It is important to note that the northern side of the map, in particular the north-east side has no chimneys with Bird’s Nests at all. As a result, the higher density of score you can obtain is in the southern half of the map. By following the route above, you’ll be able to cover basically all rooftops. In order, the zones you’ll visit on the map from starting point 1 are:

• Piazza Roma
• West Village
• Town Hall
• Santa Maria Houses area
• Plaza Rosa area
• Red Tower area
• Church ruins
• Piazza Arbusto

It is good to remember that the chimneys do not have a 100% guaranteed Bird’s Nest spawn. Due to this, you’ll have to check to see which do and do not have nests for you. If you feel like you had a bad run, queue back in again for some better luck! Even if the green route-line above doesn’t go through an area, if it’s nearby, make sure you’re heading to the location pins on the map to collect every opportunity in the area.

Bird’s Nest Chimney Variants

The Bird’s Nest chimneys can also look like these roofed variants, so it is important to check as there’s a few types of chimneys that can host a nest. For example, these obscure chimneys at Piazza Roma.

Check out all the locations along the route until you’re satisfied with your score and head to the nearest extract! With this route, you can expect anywhere from 10,000-20,000 score on average. You can reach more, as there’s a total of 177 Bird’s Nest spawns on Buried City. However, they’re not all guaranteed.

Duo/Trio

As a Duo or a Trio, you have the option to split up and take a third of the route shown above. With this method, you’ll easily rack up the upper end of score by covering more ground in a shorter amount of time. As a result, talk to your team and split up the shown locations and route for this guide and get that grind on for max score!

Fast 3-Star Rewards for Loot Bird’s Nests

As of right now, there’s no single best “fast” way to achieve a 3-star for quick rewards. However, the trial itself is easy and will yield you the rewards you want without a doubt. When you spawn into Buried City under the “Bird City” event, head straight towards the south-most side of the map. There is such a high density of spawns here that you’ll easily reach your 4000 score. To reach 4000 score, you’ll need to search 23 chimneys for their Bird’s Nests. Once you’ve achieved this, you can head out and get your rewards!
