Open Containers inside the Traffic Tunnels: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too). The goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards each week too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Open Containers inside the Traffic Tunnels to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for this Trial only comes from looting containers inside the Traffic Tunnels on Blue Gate during a 2x event such as a Night Raid or Hurricane. But most importantly, Locked Gate. Each container nets you 280 score.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires searching as many containers within the raids time limit as possible. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials and a good weapon for killing small ARC. We recommend bringing:
Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate)- Any Augment
Light Shield- 5
Shield Rechargers - 5
Bandages - 80+
Heavy Ammo - Optionally can bring Adrenaline Shots too
- If you have either the
Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key or 
Patrol Car Key – bring them too as they can open the way to earning more score
Can I use a Free Loadout to Open Containers inside the Traffic Tunnels for the weekly Trials?
Absolutely, we recommend this option to use a Free Loadout for the weekly trial if you don’t want to put any gear at risk. You’ll only be looting containers in this one specific area, as a result, you do not need a full loadout to succeed.
Should I use Aggression-based Matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.

The BEST Route for Maximizing Score
There is no perfect preset route for this Trial. However, it is a relatively simple trial as you’ll only have to look around the tunnels of Blue Gate for any searchable loot containers. As a result, you’ll easily achieve a high score. If you put yourself in a friendly lobby, you’ll be able to follow the crowd and they can lead you to more containers. Even though we recommend to bring in keys for this, others may have the same idea. As a result, you may get free access to the loot rooms for more score that way.
During the Locked Gate event, you’ll have to unlock the tunnels to be able to access them. This is different to other 2x events that have the tunnels available immediately. We highly recommend moving as fast as possible with the lobby to unlock the tunnels to give yourself as much looting time you can. However, if too much of the lobby time passes before the tunnels unlocking – we suggest leaving and restarting your attempt. To unlock the tunnels on Locked Gate, see our full Locked Gate guide here. If you and the lobby manage to open the tunnels fast enough, you’ll have a huge amount of time to loot everything.
While there is no set route, you can follow this path roughly and pick up everything as you move forward. Take your time when moving through the tunnels so you do not miss anything. Also, take an extra moment to check the higher parts of the tunnel for extra containers.
You can expect to find containers inside the Traffic Tunnels such as:
- Cars
- Breachable Containers
- Medical Bags
- Raider Bags
- Security Breaches (however, you need the Security Breach Skill for this)
- Weapon Cases
- Ammo Cases
- Grenade Tube
- General Containers
- Lockers
- Key room loot
Depending on spawns and time spent, you can easily push 20,000-50,000+ score for this Trial.
Confiscation Room
Opening this key room can easily net you another 2,800-4,000~ score.
Fast 3-Star Rewards and Alternative Options
For a fast 3-star reward, simply head to Blue Gate on any 2x event. There isn’t a particularly best way to get the 3-star rewards, however, you’ll have to search 15 loot containers to get your 4000 score threshold. After that, you can head to the extract and get back to Speranza! We recommend checking our map for the most container-dense section of the tunnels and heading there to quickly pull the score up.
