Reduced to Rubble ARC Raiders Quest Guide

To complete Reduced to Rubble in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to head to the southern region of The Blue Gate. The quest requires you to document a recent structural collapse at the Highway Collapse POI and then track a “trail of destruction” leading to a massive, downed ARC machine in the Broken Earth area.

The “Reduced to Rubble” quest is given by Shani and is one of the earlier missions on Blue Gate. You don’t need to use the Binoculars given by the quest – just go to the Collapsed Highway all the way South of Blue Gate map, Photograph the highway from one of the Interaction points and start heading up through the Broken Earth area (canyon) until you reach big circular Arc machines (Deforesters). At this point Interact with the bottom part of the huge metal Arc machines and the quest will be completed.

• Take a photo of the Collapsed Highway
• Go to the Broken Earth
• Follow the trail of destruction through the Broken Earth
• Investigate the unknown ARC machines

Step 1: Photograph the Collapsed Highway

Your first objective is located at the Highway Collapse POI in the southwestern corner of Blue Gate. Even though you don’t have a physical camera item, there are specific spots on the map that trigger the “Take Photo” prompt.

• Location: Head to the western side of the highway ruins, just north of where the “Highway Collapse” text appears on your map.
• Finding the Spot: Look for a section where the concrete has fallen to ground level. You’ll find a yellow interaction circle between a large rock and a tree near the base of the broken pillars.
• Action: Stand in the circle and press your interaction key to document the damage for Shani.

Step 2: Reach Broken Earth & Follow the Trail

After the photo is taken, your map will update to point you toward Broken Earth, which is directly East of the highway. This transition can be dangerous as you’ll likely pass through the Olive Grove, a high-traffic area for other Raiders farming resources.

• Follow the Trail: This objective is largely narrative. You don’t need to interact with anything specific along the ground. Simply move Northeast through the valley or “crevasse” that appears to have been carved into the earth.
• The Real Target: You are looking for a massive, circular scrap metal ring structure on the horizon.

Step 3: Investigate the Unknown ARC Machines

The final step is the most confusing for many players. The objective “Investigate the unknown ARC machines” refers to a giant downed ARC unit (Deforester) located Northeast of Broken Earth and directly East of the Maintenance Bunker.

• Finding the Machine: It is a huge, metallic ring-shaped wreckage halfway between Broken Earth and the Ridgeline. If you zoom in on your map, you can actually see a faint circular icon at this location.
• Action: Approach the center of the wreckage where the ring connects to the main body. You will see a prompt to “Investigate.” Hold the interaction key to finalize the data collection.

Step 4: Extract from Reduced to Rubble (Optional)

Once you’ve investigated the machine, the quest is complete! You do not need to extract or bring any items back to Speranza for this quest, but the Overlook Airshaft extraction is nearby, so might as well extract and earn the full XP for your time topside!
