Search Frozen Raider Containers: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too). The goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to Search Frozen Raider Containers to maximize your score (or get your fill and get out) and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for “Searching” is simple. Each container is 1000 points, making the 3-star 4000 score margin very straightforward.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires searching as many Frozen Containers (the Cold Snap variant of Raider Caches) as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials and a good weapon for killing smaller to medium ARC. We recommend bringing:
- Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate)
- Tactical MK.2
- Light Shield
- 5-10 Shield Rechargers
- 15+ Bandages
- 80+ Heavy Ammo
- 2-5 Smoke Grenades
Most of the above can be tweaked to your preference. However, this set-up ensures you can move around the map, effectively deal with all ARC threats and cover yourself should an opponent get the jump on you.
Map
It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that this Trial can only be completed on the Cold Snap Major Event modifier. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
There is two maps that can be used to push for high score (or a quick 3-star). One of those maps is Dam Battleground. This map is host to 100+ potential spawn locations. However, you’ll never have every possible spawn happen at once. As a result, check the areas marked on the map as you move through.
Finding and the way that you search Frozen Raider Containers is the same as a standard Raider Cache (and they have the same spawns too). As a result, listen out for the ticking clock-like sounds the Containers make.
Spaceport
The map we also recommend the most is without a doubt Spaceport. While the Spaceport has less potential amounts of Frozen Containers, it also has a much smoother route to take. As a result, we recommend Spaceport as a solo or a trio to get the most out of your score consistently.
The blue route above is our example route we recommend taking. This is to either get your guaranteed quick 3-star score, or to push for maximum score. If you have enough time, also make sure to check the areas not marked on the route.
Duo/Trio Split
If you’re in a party, you can add a second inner route to the mix. This ensures you’ll reach the highest score possible for the week.
As a team, you’ll easily be able to cover most if-not the entire map within the time limit. As a result, group play is highly recommend for optimal score.
