Search Lockers: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
To Search Lockers effectively:
- Load into the Dam Battlegrounds map
- Head to key areas such as Research & Administration or Water Treatment
- Bring a ton of Adrenaline Shots to keep moving
- Open every locker you find for 160 score each
- Bring additional keys for Dam Battlegrounds to unlock more potential rooms for score
In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Search Lockers to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for this Trial only applies to when you Search Lockers on any map or condition. Score per Locker is 160. Searching 19 Lockers is enough to reach the 3,000 score mark for the 3-star rewards.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires searching as many Lockers as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, a ton of stamina regeneration and maybe a gun to defend yourself with. We recommend bringing:
- Any gun + Ammo you feel like bringing as a back-up plan
Survivor MK.3 Augment - Medium Shield
- 5
Shield Rechargers - 5-10
Bandages - As many stacks of
Adrenaline Shots as you can for freedom of movement - Ziplines or a
Snap Hook for traversal is optional - Keys that open rooms to potential lockers
Can I use a Free Loadout for the Search Lockers weekly Trial?
Yes, you can use a Free Loadout to get 3,000 score for your weekly 3-star rewards in this Trial.
Should I use aggression-based matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.
Map
The best map to push for an effective score is Dam Battlegrounds. You can do this on the normal map or any conditions you prefer. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
It is “rumored” that Night Raid has higher Locker spawns, however, it seems to not be the case through trial and error. That being said, feel free to do whatever feels best for you!
Solo Lobby
In solo, we recommend starting your run off by visiting the Southern side of the map.
Without keys, these areas alone can be enough to give you the 3,000 score required for 3-star rewards. However, if you have the keys available for each section, you’ll be more than guaranteed your 3-star rewards and able to push for a high score. The Water Treatment building has 5 rows of lockers without even entering the key room.
Lockers do not have a guaranteed spawn every game, so it can be a little luck dependent, however, these areas contain plenty of possible spawns.
Inside the Research and Admin building on the upper floor, there is at least 4 rows of Lockers that’re free to search for anyone without keys. It is important to note that you can search any locker that another Raider has already searched – you’ll still earn score.
If the above areas aren’t enough, the Testing Annex and lockers between POIs should round out your score nicely. However, if you still aren’t at a high enough score for your 3,000 or higher, you can move up to the Hydroponic Dome Complex.
The two large dome buildings in this POI contain some lockers to push the score a bit higher or to guarantee your 3-star threshold.
At this point, you should have more than enough score to see yourself out and get your rewards. If you wish to push more score, however, you’ll want to continue to each of the marked areas on the map in our guide. To go for a high score, you must bring keys or hope somebody else has opened each of the rooms themselves.
With a full route & keys, you can expect approximately 8,000-13,000 score solo.
Squad Lobby
In a party, you can essentially repeat the above strategy, but instead splitting up the party to cover ground quicker.
Using the above, the party can split as follows:
- Player 1 covers the Power Generation Complex & Controlled Access Zone
- Player 2 covers Ben Welder’s Sunroof and the Hydroponic Dome Complex
- Player 3 covers Water Treatment Control, the Research & Administration + Control Tower building & Testing Annex
Player 2 should finish their side of the map faster than the other two players. As a result, player 2 can rotate down into player 3’s section and assist. For example, Player 3 can start at Testing Annex and Research & Administration, and player 2 can move into Water Treatment.
Each player should bring keys relevant to their section to increase score. If done correctly and with decent spawn rates, you’ll easily push 13,000+ score as a party in a short time.
Alternative options to Search Lockers
A possible alternative, either party or solo-based, is to try Spaceport during the Hidden Bunker event. With all relevant keys and enough time, this technically could be the best method for scoring high. However, we do not recommend it as the main strategy for this week due to Hidden Bunker not being very active and Spaceport being a large map to cover. However, in a party, the map size becomes less of a problem.
There is a higher total number of locker rows on Spaceport. However, as previously mentioned you’ll likely need a party and Hidden Bunker to utilize this higher potential. If you have the opportunity to try this, we recommend giving it an attempt!
Keys for more Lockers
Bringing keys for your map of choice is important to gain the most score possible. However, during a Trial week, it’s very often that another Raider opens these rooms for you already! It is important to come prepared though. For example, if you’re going to run Dam Battlegrounds for the Search Lockers trial, bringing the
Dam Surveillance Key or the combination of the
Dam Staff Room Key and
Dam Control Center Tower Key is a no brainer.
You can also bring a Power Rod to access a small locked room in the Power Generation Complex, scoring more points. For full information on locked areas for more score & their respective keys – you can check our interactive map.
