To complete The Right Tool in ARC Raiders, you need to destroy three specific ARC enemies — a Fireball, a Hornet, and a Turret. You’ll be granted a Ferro IV and 20 Heavy Ammo to help complete the task. Once you’ve defeated all three targets, extract safely and return to Tian Wen to receive your rewards — a Stitcher II, an Extended Light Mag I, and the Cheer Emote.

Step 1: Accept the Quest and Prepare Your Loadout

Start by accepting the quest from Tian Wen. Before loading into a match, create a loadout. The Ferro IV you’re granted for this quest is extremely powerful against ARC enemies, so it’s highly recommended to equip and use it.

However, if you’re concerned about losing your equipment to other raiders, the free loadout remains a safe choice since you can retry without consequence.

Step 2: Enter Dam Battlegrounds and Locate ARC Enemies

This quest can be completed on any map, but Dam Battlegrounds is the most efficient due to its high concentration of ARC enemies. Once inside, open your map and head toward either Research & Administration or Water Treatment.

• Research & Administration typically has the highest density of ARC enemies (Fireballs, Hornets, and Turrets), though it’s also a contested area with many enemy players.
• Water Treatment is a safer alternative with fewer players but still enough ARC activity to complete the quest.

Step 3: Destroy the Fireball

When searching for ARC enemies, ping each one you encounter — this will display its name so you can identify it easily.

Once you find a Fireball, approach cautiously. Fireballs will engage when they detect you. Wait for it to stop in front of you, then back away and shoot its weak spot before it can ignite and burn you. The Ferro IV is highly effective here, capable of destroying Fireballs with minimal shots.

Step 4: Destroy the Turret

Turrets are often located above doorways, near entrances, and around facility perimeters. They don’t move, making them relatively easy to eliminate. Simply peek from behind cover and fire controlled bursts or charged shots from the Ferro IV to destroy them quickly.

Step 5: Destroy the Hornet

The Hornet is a flying ARC that patrols the open areas of the map. Keep an eye on the skies and ping any flying ARC to identify one. Once you find a Hornet, take cover behind structures or rocks and target its thrusters — this will disable and destroy it faster.

If possible, loot the Hornet after it’s destroyed to collect the Hornet Driver, a material required for another quest later on.

Step 6: Extract Safely and Return to Tian Wen

After destroying all three ARC enemies, open your map to locate the nearest extraction point. Move cautiously, as other raiders often camp extractions. Once you extract successfully, return to Tian Wen in Speranza to complete the quest.

You’ll receive the following rewards:

• Stitcher II
• Extended Light Mag I
• Cheer Emote
