Arc Raiders

Weapon Stencils in ARC Raiders are cosmetic weapon skins found in Topside loot, the Premium Pass, and the Collector Set DLC, applied with Stencil Parts. You learn each stencil once, like a blueprint, then spend parts to apply it to a compatible weapon. Use our Stencil Tracker to tick off what you have and see what you still need!

How to Get Weapon Stencils in ARC Raiders

Embark’s Frozen Trail 2.0 update post confirms 14 stencils in total: 8 lootable Topside, 5 exclusive to the Premium Pass, and 1 exclusive to the Collector Set DLC. Only the 8 lootable stencils are free to obtain, and all 14 need Stencil Parts to apply.

Each source works differently:

  • Topside loot: 8 stencils drop from containers during raids.
  • Premium Pass: 5 stencils are exclusive to the Frozen Trail Premium Pass, which Embark’s Reward Pass explainer lists as including exclusive weapon stencils.
  • Collector Set DLC: 1 stencil, Dragon’s Breath, is listed in the Collector Set DLC contents.

Start with the 8 lootable stencils, since they need no purchase, and weigh the Premium Pass or DLC only if you want one of their weapon-specific designs.

Where to Find Stencils While Looting

Lootable weapon stencils drop from industrial-style containers Topside, and they are not limited to Pendola Pass. You can find them on any map in the game, so the container type matters more than the map you queue into, and rarer stencils fit fewer weapons each.

These container types are the ones to check first:

  • Breachables: Bus and car breachable containers.
  • Lockers: Red and green lockers.
  • Drawers: Beige multi-drawers, green shipping container drawers, and industrial metal desk drawers.
  • Crates and cabinets: Metal 1×1 brown crates and mechanical cabinets.

Embark’s update post says only that these stencils are found Topside and lists no drop rates, so the container list above is TBC until we confirm it in-game.

On your next raid, plan a route past every industrial container with the ARC Raiders Interactive Map, since the same container types are reported to hold Stencil Parts too. Map markers are estimates and do not guarantee an identical outcome in every raid.

How to Find Stencil Parts

Stencil Parts in ARC Raiders are found Topside, and reports place them in industrial and residential containers on every map in the game. Embark’s update post confirms you need them to apply any stencil, so keep every part you find for stencil applications instead of selling it.

These residential and storage containers are reported as sources and are TBC in-game:

  • Furniture: Cabinets, cupboards, closets, wardrobes, bed tables, and desk drawers.
  • Storage: Refrigerators, suitcases, trash cans, and white office drawers.

Pick up every Stencil Part you find while looting until you reach the cost of the stencil you want.

Stencil Part Cost by Rarity

Stencil Part costs scale with rarity: Uncommon stencils need 2 parts, Rare stencils need 4, Epic stencils need 7, and Legendary stencils need 15 per application in our Stencil Tracker. Embark’s posts do not list these costs, so confirm them in-game before you farm an Epic or Legendary stencil.

RarityStencil Parts per applicationStencils at this rarity
Uncommon2Verdigris, Garnet, Ochre
Rare4Milky Terracotta, Cerulean, Dusty Camo
Epic7Slipstream, Tortoise, Sacrifice, Empyrean, Fortuna
Legendary15Bulwark, Dragon’s Breath, Serac

Hypothetical example: You want an Uncommon stencil on three different weapons and a Legendary stencil on a fourth. That is 3 x 2 + 15 = 21 parts.

Multiply the weapons you want to customize by the cost per application to set your Stencil Part target before you farm.

How to Apply a Stencil to a Weapon

To apply a stencil in ARC Raiders, learn it from your inventory, collect the required Stencil Parts, then right-click a compatible weapon in your Warehouse and select Stencils. Pick the design, preview it on the weapon, and confirm with E on PC, which consumes the parts.

Follow these steps in order:

  1. Learn the stencil: Open your inventory, select the stencil item, and choose Learn and Consume. This unlocks the design on your account.
  2. Gather parts: Hold enough Stencil Parts for the stencil’s rarity before you open the menu.
  3. Open the weapon: Right-click a compatible weapon in your Warehouse and select Stencils.
  4. Choose the design: Browse the menu and pick the stencil you want. The preview updates on the weapon in the middle of the screen.
  5. Apply it: Press E on PC to confirm. The parts are consumed and the stencil is applied to that weapon.

Open your Warehouse, right-click the weapon you use most, and apply your first stencil.

All Weapon Stencils in ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders has 14 weapon stencils: 3 Uncommon, 3 Rare, 5 Epic, and 3 Legendary. Embark’s update post splits them by source into 8 lootable stencils, 5 Premium Pass exclusives, and 1 DLC exclusive, and the table below combines both breakdowns with each stencil’s compatible weapons.

Embark names only Dragon’s Breath as a DLC stencil, so the Premium Pass assignments in this table are community-reported and TBC until we confirm them in-game.

Find your main weapon in the last column, then farm for the lootable stencil that fits it first.

Weapons That Support Stencils

Stencils are reported to support 21 weapons in ARC Raiders: the Anvil, Arpeggio, Bantam, Bettina, Bobcat, Burletta, Canto, Ferro, Hairpin, Hullcracker, Il Toro, Kettle, Osprey, Rattler, Renegade, Stiletto, Stitcher, Tempest, Torrente, Venator, and Vulcano. The three Uncommon stencils fit all of them, and every other stencil fits fewer.

The legendary Aphelion Rifle, Equalizer, and Jupiter are not on that list, and you can compare every weapon’s stats in the ARC Raiders Database. Embark’s posts do not publish the supported weapon list, so confirm your weapon in-game.

Open the Stencils menu on your main weapon in the Warehouse to confirm it is supported before you farm for a design.

How Stencils Work

Stencils in ARC Raiders are cosmetic weapon skins that change how a weapon looks without changing its stats. Each application targets only the individual weapon you choose, so every copy you want customized needs its own Stencil Parts, and the cost is paid again for each new weapon.

These limits affect how you plan:

  • One weapon per application: A stencil applies to the single weapon you select, not every copy in your inventory.
  • Loss risk: If you are downed, other Raiders can loot your weapon along with its stencil, so a stencil does not protect the weapon.
  • Removal and swapping: The Frozen Trail posts we reviewed do not say whether you can remove or swap a stencil, so this is TBC in-game.

Apply your first stencil to the weapon you are most comfortable losing, and move on to your main weapon once you know how many parts you can afford.

Turn Your Next Raid into a Stencil Run

Loot industrial containers for stencils in your next raid, collect Stencil Parts from residential and industrial loot, learn each design, and apply it from your Warehouse. Start with an Uncommon stencil on your most-used weapon, since Uncommon designs fit every supported weapon for the fewest parts.

From there, work toward a Rare stencil for the same weapon once you have 4 spare parts, and decide whether the Premium Pass or DLC stencils are worth it for your weapon. Build your kit around that weapon before you queue, and find the rest of the Frozen Trail systems in the ARC Raiders Hub.

FAQs

Do you need to own a weapon to apply a stencil in ARC Raiders?

A matching weapon must be in your inventory or Warehouse before ARC Raiders lets you apply a stencil, based on the reports we reviewed. If you have not crafted or found a supported weapon such as the Stiletto or Bantam, a learned stencil stays unused until you own one.

Does the Collector Set DLC include the Premium Pass stencils in ARC Raiders?

Yes, the ARC Raiders Collector Set DLC includes the Premium Pass stencils. Embark’s Collector Set DLC listing says the DLC grants Frozen Trail Premium Pass access, which includes exclusive weapon stencils, and it adds Dragon’s Breath on top, so the DLC covers all six paid stencils.

What happens if you die with an unlearned stencil in ARC Raiders?

Treat any unlearned stencil as at risk in ARC Raiders, because Raiders who defeat you can loot what you carry. Extract first, then open your inventory and choose Learn and Consume to unlock the design on your account before you queue into your next raid.

When did weapon stencils come out in ARC Raiders?

Weapon stencils came out in ARC Raiders on October 8, 2026, with the Frozen Trail 2.0 update. Embark’s update post lists 14 stencils, and the Reward Pass and Collector Set DLC launched the same day, so every stencil in this guide has been available since that date.

Do weapon stencils work on Amplified weapons in ARC Raiders?

Embark has not said whether stencils work on Amplified weapons in ARC Raiders. Amplified weapons add a fifth quality level on 15 weapons, and the Burletta, Renegade, and Rattler are confirmed candidates, so stencil one of those three, unlock its Amplified version, and check whether the design carries over.
