Where to Find Expired Respirators in ARC Raiders (Fast & Easy)
Expired Respirators are a required crafting item for Stage 2 of the Trophy Display Project – Soaring Menaces. You’ll need a total of 3 Expired Respirators, and while they can appear in medical loot pools, the most reliable and low-risk method is farming the Testing Annex on the Dam Battlegrounds map.
This route avoids heavily contested areas like Buried City Hospital and lets you complete the requirement in just a few fast runs.
Why You Need Expired Respirators
Expired Respirators are part of Stage 2: Soaring Menaces in the Trophy Display Project. Completing this stage requires several ARC-related items and rewards you with valuable gear upgrades along the way.
You’ll need:
- 3× Expired Respirator → Reward: 3× Photoelectric Cloak
- 10× Spotter Relay → Reward: 3× Vita Spray
- 20× Wasp Driver → Reward: 20 Raider Tokens
- 15× Hornet Driver → Reward: Vita Shot Blueprint
Best Location: Testing Annex (Dam Battlegrounds)
The Testing Annex on the Dam Battlegrounds map is the most consistent location for finding Expired Respirators. Compared to Buried City Hospital, this area is far less contested and much faster to run repeatedly.
Using a Safe Pocket is strongly recommended so any respirators you find are secured immediately.
Step 1: Load In With a Safe Pocket
Load into Dam Battlegrounds with either a basic custom loadout that includes a Safe Pocket or a free loadout. A Safe Pocket ensures that if something goes wrong, your Expired Respirator is still secured.
Adrenaline shots are also helpful for faster movement, letting you get in and out quickly.
If possible, switch to NA servers and avoid PvP. ARC Raiders uses behaviour-based matchmaking, and players who avoid combat often end up in noticeably friendlier lobbies — ideal for material farming.
Step 2: Head to the Testing Annex
Once you spawn, open your map and head directly to the Testing Annex at the southern part of Dam Battlegrounds.
Enter the building, go up the main staircase, take a left, and follow the corridor through. This area is packed with searchable medical containers and shelves that share the correct loot pool.
Step 3: Search All Containers Thoroughly
Search every container, drawer, and shelf inside the Testing Annex. Expired Respirators commonly spawn here, and across multiple runs this location has proven extremely consistent.
While looting, you may also find other useful medical materials such as Cracked Bioscanners, Rusted Shut Medical Kits, and Antiseptic, making this a strong multipurpose farming spot.
As soon as you find an Expired Respirator, place it straight into your Safe Pocket.
Step 4: Extract and Repeat
Once the area is cleared, head to the nearby extraction point. The Testing Annex has one of the closest extractions on the map, making repeat runs fast and efficient.
Most players will secure all 3 Expired Respirators within three short runs, often faster than a single Hospital attempt on Buried City.
