Where to Find the Epoxy Bucket in ARC Raiders

Arc Raiders

The best place we have found an Epoxy Bucket in ARC Raiders is the Observatory on Pendola Pass, where two lockers each held one on our run. Epoxy Buckets are Rare loot, so no spawn is guaranteed.

The team here at MetaForge tested this route in-game on Pendola Pass after the Frozen Trail update, and the steps below follow the order we looted the Observatory.

On our run the lockers held 2 of the 3 buckets you need, so plan a second trip for the last one.

How Many Epoxy Buckets You Need for the Outpost

You need 3 Epoxy Buckets to take your Outpost from level 2 to level 3, and our Epoxy Bucketdatabase entry currently lists that upgrade as its only Outpost use. Epoxy Buckets stack to 5, so the full set fits in one stack with room for 2 spares.

The Outpost is the new home space Embark added with Frozen Trail, nestled between the Rust Belt and the mountain range. The table below shows how bucket weight adds up at the listed 0.5 kg each.

Best Loadout for an Epoxy Bucket Run

Bring a snap hook, a zipline, or a grappling hook so you can enter the Observatory without using the door, which avoids the ARC on the other side of it. The rest of your loadout is up to you, so bring whatever you feel comfortable running.

Three details are worth sorting before you queue in:

  • Grappling Hook: Embark’s first look describes it as a way to climb hard to reach spots, abseil off buildings, and swing over large gaps.
  • Free safe pocket: Keep it empty so your first bucket has somewhere to go as soon as you pick it up.
  • Light kit: Keep your loadout light enough to carry the buckets, which weigh 0.5 kg each.

How to Loot the Observatory for Epoxy Buckets

Embark’s Frozen Trail announcement describes the setting as once home to thriving villages, factories, research facilities, and an observatory. This is the route we used, in the order we looted the building:

  1. Head to the Observatory: Move toward it as soon as you spawn so you arrive before other squads do. You can scout Pendola Pass beforehand on the ARC Raiders Interactive Map, though map results are estimates and do not guarantee an identical outcome.
  2. Equip your entry tool: Switch to your snap hook, grappling hook, or zipline before you reach the building.
  3. Loot the first room: Check it for Steel Cable, Differential Microphone, Laser Level, Thermal Shaker, and Adrenaline Shot spawns.
  4. Check the crate, couches, and tables: The crate was empty on our run. Couches and tables do not always hold loot, but they sometimes hold something you need.
  5. Move to the next room: Loot the weapon crate if it has spawned. It does not always appear, but it was there on most of our runs.
  6. Open the lockers: The Epoxy Buckets were in the lockers in this area, one in each of the two we opened.
  7. Secure each bucket: Put it in your safe pocket as soon as you pick it up, so you keep it even if you are eliminated before extraction.
  8. Extract or loop back: Run straight to extraction with what you have, or keep looting and return for the rest on another run.

What Else Spawns in the Observatory

The route that reaches the lockers also passes several other loot spawns, so sweep the room before you leave. These are the items we picked up or saw on our runs:

  • Steel Cable and Laser Level: Both spawn in the building. Our database lists 3 Steel Cable for Outpost level 2 and 3 Laser Level for Outpost level 4, so keep any Laser Level for your later upgrade.
  • Thermal Shaker: One spawned in the same spot on several of our runs, though that is not confirmed as a fixed rule. Our database lists it for Research Station level 4, where 3 are needed.
  • Differential Microphone: It spawns in the building too, but its database page lists no workshop upgrade use.
  • Adrenaline Shot: The first room held a substantial number of them, which helps if you are short and need to farm them.
  • Weapon crate: It sits in the next room and appears on most runs, but not every one.

Other Epoxy Bucket Locations on Pendola Pass

Other areas of Pendola Pass are reported to hold Epoxy Buckets, but we have not verified them in our own runs, so each is marked TBC below. Rotating map conditions on Pendola Pass, such as Redirection, are listed on the ARC Raiders Event Timers, though timers are estimates and do not guarantee an identical outcome.

Embark’s Frozen Trail 2.0 update notes describe a Dynamic Loot Zone test that is currently exclusive to Pendola Pass, where one area may yield more value in one raid and less in another. The notes do not name which areas use it, so we cannot say whether the Observatory is affected.

Example Scenario (hypothetical): You reach the Observatory lockers and find them empty. Finish sweeping the room for Outpost materials, extract, and try one of the unverified locations on your next run.

Get Your Three Buckets and Level Up Your Outpost

Your next step is a Pendola Pass run with a hook or zipline equipped and an empty safe pocket, heading straight for the Observatory lockers.

Once you hold all 3 buckets, open your Outpost and start the level 3 upgrade. Then use your next raids to gather materials for the next Outpost upgrade.

FAQs

Can you find Epoxy Buckets on any ARC Raiders map other than Pendola Pass?

Pendola Pass is the only ARC Raiders map where MetaForge has tested for Epoxy Buckets, and the Observatory lockers there gave two buckets on our run. Other maps are unconfirmed (TBC), so farm Pendola Pass until in-game testing shows an Epoxy Bucket drop on another map.

Should you recycle or sell spare Epoxy Buckets in ARC Raiders?

Keep spare Epoxy Buckets until your ARC Raiders Outpost level 3 upgrade is paid for, because a recycled or sold bucket cannot count toward it. Each Rare Epoxy Bucket has a listed value of 1,000 Raider Coins and recycles into Chemicals, though the exact yield is TBC.

How do you unlock the Outpost in ARC Raiders after the Frozen Trail update?

You unlock the Outpost in ARC Raiders by completing a project, as stated in Embark’s official Frozen Trail 2.0 update notes from October 8, 2026. The notes do not list the project steps, so those requirements remain TBC until MetaForge runs the chain and confirms every step in-game.

What does the Outpost unlock in ARC Raiders?

Unlocking the Outpost in ARC Raiders gives you access to the research station, and upgrading it unlocks 22 Furniture Designs. Embark’s first look describes the research station as the route to higher levels of weapon customization and modding, and the Outpost can be expanded with different modules.

When did Pendola Pass and the Outpost release in ARC Raiders?

Pendola Pass and the Outpost released in ARC Raiders on October 8, 2026, with the Frozen Trail update. Embark describes Frozen Trail as its biggest update since launch and lists Pendola Pass as its new map, set in an old Italian village and Exodus transport hub beyond the Rust Belt.
