Activating the Gate to the Stars: Albaneve Summits Dungeon in Enshrouded
To activate the Albaneve Summits dungeon beacon for the Gate to the Stars in Enshrouded, beat the Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct and claim the Miniature Piece. Along the way, you press six wall buttons across three locked doors and chop down a Shroud Root for a skill point.
The team here at MetaForge recorded a full run of the Albaneve Summits dungeon in-game, starting at the Nomad Highlands entrance and ending with the beacon lit. Every step below comes from that run, checked against the full release that launched on October 15, 2026, and the latest live fix, Hotfix 1.0.0.3.
How to Complete the Albaneve Summits Dungeon
To complete the Albaneve Summits dungeon in Enshrouded, clear two sections linked by a teleporter. In the first, press four buttons and chop down the Shroud Root, then in the second, defeat the Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct, press two more buttons, loot the Miniature Piece, and activate the beacon.
Each locked door uses a pair of buttons, but the pairs are laid out differently. Use this table to head straight for each pair.
Locked door | Buttons | Where the buttons are | What it opens |
|---|---|---|---|
Main door (first section) | 2 | One at the end of the left wing, one at the end of the right wing | The central chamber |
Inner doors (first section) | 2 | One on the near side of the chamber, one diagonally across from it | The Shroud Root room |
Upper door (second section) | 2 | Side by side on the left, at the top of the elevator | The reward room with the Miniature Piece chest |
What You Need Before You Start
The route leans on traversal tools, so equip these before you leave the Nomad Highlands entrance.
Glider: Used for the opening glide over the mountain and for every gap at the broken bridge.
Grappling hook: Used on the platform route across the broken bridge.
Frost protection: The dungeon sits in the cold Albaneve Summits, so bring frost resistance gear or food before the climb.
Shield: Blocks the construct's missile volleys.
Ranged weapon: Clears the Ancients guarding the upper buttons from a distance.
Route from the Nomad Highlands Entrance to the Dungeon
The route is long but has no detours, so follow these steps in order. Keep the Enshrouded Interactive Map open to check your position, noting that map positions are estimates and don't guarantee an identical in-game layout.
Glide off the left side: Jump off to the left of the Nomad Highlands entrance and glide toward the updrafts ahead. Ride them over the mountain and land on the pathway beyond it.
Turn right before the Shroud: Take a right just before the Shroud boundary and follow the path up the mountainside.
Keep right at the fork: Keep right rather than going left, zigzag up the next stretch, then continue down the road.
Turn left and grab the respawn point: Take the left turn and follow the road to a respawn point. Activate it before moving on.
Pass the Ancient ruin: Ignore the enemies by the Ancient ruin on the right and keep straight on the left.
Take the lift down: Ride the lift to the base of the broken bridge.
How to Cross the Broken Bridge
Wait for the moving platform, jump on, then jump off and glide before grappling up the far side. You can break through the debris instead, but it takes far longer than the platform route.
Example Scenario (hypothetical): Your glide falls short and you start dropping below a grapple point. Jump back up to the closest ledge and repeat the grapple rather than gliding further into the gap.
Ride the platform: Jump on the moving platform and jump off once it carries you over the gap.
Glide and grapple: Glide toward the anchor point and grapple up, lining it up before you commit.
Chain the next gaps: Glide and grapple across the next gap, then hop across the narrow section.
Finish the descent: Run, glide, and grapple once more, then continue down to the far lift.
Grab the lore note: Collect the lore note near the lift while it comes back down, then ride it up.
Enter the dungeon: At the top, head right, defeat the Ancient at the entrance, and go inside.
How to Open the First Door and Reach the Shroud Root
The first door needs one button from each side wing, and the Shroud Root room behind it needs two more. Press the left wing's button first, then loop through the lower corridors to the right wing instead of backtracking.
Activate the respawn point: Use the respawn point just inside the entrance.
Clear the entry hall: Defeat and loot the Ancients in front of the locked main door.
Press the left button: Head left, clear the Ancients, and take a right to reach the first button.
Loop to the right wing: Keep going forward, dodge the lightning bolts, and time your runs past the two sets of spikes.
Press the right button: Defeat the Ancient guarding it and press the button to open the main door.
Return through the main door: Clear the remaining Ancients on the way back and go through.
Press both inner buttons: Press the button on the near side of the chamber, then the one diagonally across from it. Grab the lore notes beside, behind, and between the two buttons as you go.
Chop the Shroud Root: Defeat the scorpions inside, then chop down the Shroud Root for a skill point.
Head for the teleporter: Grab the lore note on the side wall, leave through the entrance opposite the one you came in by, and get past the spikes to the teleporter.
Teleporter, Tunnels and the Main Room
Take the teleporter to the second section, where every tunnel leads to the same main room. Pick any path and climb whichever side you prefer.
The side rooms off the passage hold only Ancients, so skip them and head straight for the construct in the main room.
How to Beat the Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct
The Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct uses only three attacks: a missile volley you can block, a burning attack you need to dodge, and a teleport slam that lands on your position. Block the missiles, dodge everything else, and keep chipping away at it until it falls and the barrier unlocks.
It is the same construct you fight in the Nomad Highlands beacon dungeon, so use the same pattern if you have already beaten it there.
Attack | Can you block it? | How to counter it |
|---|---|---|
Missile volley | Yes | Hold block until the volley ends, then go back on the attack |
Burning attack | No, it burns you on hit | Dodge out of its path |
Teleport slam | No | Keep moving and dodge as it lands on your position |
Example Scenario (hypothetical): You are running a melee build with a one-handed weapon and a shield. Block each missile volley, close in between slams, and dodge away as soon as the construct teleports.
Example Scenario (hypothetical): You are playing a ranged mage or archer. Keep your distance, turn on the aim assist options for ranged combat added in 1.0, and save your dodge for the teleport slam.
Once it falls, loot the construct and look up its drops in the Enshrouded Database. Then head down the newly opened passage toward the elevator.
How to Get the Albaneve Summits Miniature Piece
After the construct falls, follow the newly opened passage, ride the elevator to the top, and press the two buttons on the left. Then head back down, enter the unlocked room on the right, defeat the scorpions, and open the chest for the Albaneve Summits Miniature Piece.
Take the elevator up: Skip the side rooms and ride the elevator to the top.
Press both buttons: Clear the Ancients on the left with your ranged weapon, then press both buttons.
Open the reward room: Ride the elevator back down and enter the unlocked room on the right.
Loot the chest: Defeat the small Ancient scorpions and open the chest for the Miniature Piece.
Activate the beacon: Cross to the opposite side of the room and activate the beacon.
Albaneve Summits Dungeon Rewards
A full clear gives the following rewards, listed in the order you pick them up.
Lore notes: Five in total, one by the lift outside and four inside the first section.
Skill point: Granted for chopping down the Shroud Root.
Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct Eye: Dropped by the construct, so keep it in your inventory (its use is TBC).
Albaneve Summits Miniature Piece: Found in the reward room chest.
Beacon progress: Activating the beacon advances the Activating the Gate to the Stars quest.
Beacon Lit, Now Report to the Ancient Researcher
With the beacon active, head back to your base and speak to the Ancient Researcher to move Activating the Gate to the Stars forward. If you still have other beacons to light, travel to the next beacon dungeon with your glider, grappling hook, and shield equipped.

FAQs
Do you have to complete the Enshrouded beacon dungeons in a specific order?
No, Enshrouded lets you clear the beacon dungeons in any order. Each beacon dungeon lights its own beacon for the Activating the Gate to the Stars quest, and the Albaneve Summits dungeon makes a good first pick because its Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct boss uses only three attacks.
Is the Albaneve Summits Hollow Halls the same as the Albaneve Summits beacon dungeon?
No, the Albaneve Summits Hollow Halls is a separate location from the beacon dungeon. The Hollow Halls opened in the Albaneve Summits with the 1.0 update, while the Gate to the Stars beacon sits in the reward room of the dungeon reached via the broken bridge from Nomad Highlands.
Do you keep the Albaneve Summits Shroud Root skill point on an Early Access save?
Yes, you keep it, but you will need to spend it again. Loading an existing save in Enshrouded version 1.0.0.0 resets the skill tree the first time, so the skill point from the Albaneve Summits Shroud Root joins your pool for respeccing before the construct fight.
Do the paired buttons in the Albaneve Summits dungeon need to be pressed at the same time?
No, the paired buttons do not need simultaneous presses. In the Albaneve Summits dungeon, a pressed button stays registered while you walk to its partner, so one player can open both the main door and the Shroud Root doors solo, even with a full corridor loop between buttons.
What happens if you die inside the Albaneve Summits dungeon in Enshrouded?
You respawn at the last respawn point you activated. The Albaneve Summits dungeon route has two: one on the road before the Ancient ruin and one just inside the dungeon entrance, so activating the second one turns a death into a short walk instead of the full mountain climb.
