Where to Find Soul Fragments in Enshrouded
Soul Fragments are obtained in the Fellhollow region by killing enemies, looting chests and vaults, or most efficiently by mining Soulstone nodes found behind Spectral Doors while Soulscourged, making this method the fastest way to farm large amounts of Soul Fragments.
Soul Fragments are a major progression currency in Enshrouded’s Fellhollow region and are primarily used to unlock powerful crafting recipes. While they can be acquired in several ways, some methods are far more time-efficient than others, especially considering the high cost of rewards.

What Soul Fragments Are Used For
When you first enter the Fellhollow region, you will encounter an NPC named Death in the Forgotten Temple zone. Death allows you to exchange Soul Fragments for crafting recipes, including armor sets, trinkets, and capes.

These recipes are expensive. A full set of armor recipes alone can cost around 900 Soul Fragments, meaning casual farming methods can quickly become time-consuming if you’re not using an efficient approach.

Basic Ways to Get Soul Fragments
The most straightforward way to obtain Soul Fragments is by killing enemies throughout the Fellhollow region. Most standard enemies drop around one Soul Fragment each, depending on the enemy type. Stronger enemies drop more, with Green Dragons capable of dropping roughly 50 Soul Fragments at once.
Soul Fragments can also be found in chests scattered across Fellhollow and inside vaults. While this provides a steady trickle of fragments during exploration, it is not an ideal method for farming large quantities.

Best Way to Farm Soul Fragments
The most effective method we’ve found involves mining Soulstone nodes found behind Spectral Doors. Before doing this, you’ll need to craft a Steel Pickaxe, as it significantly speeds up the process and allows you to break Soulstone efficiently.
Our guide here, shows you where to find coal and creat steel bars, which will unlock the Steel Pickaxe recipe to craft.

Spectral Doors can be found all across the Fellhollow region. One of the easiest and safest locations to use is in the Lake of Lost Souls zone, where access is straightforward and the surrounding area is manageable.

How to Become Soulscourged
You cannot pass through a Spectral Door normally. To enter, you must first become Soulscourged.
To do this, locate Soulscourge, which appears as red, corrupted water filled with swirling souls. Standing in it will begin filling your Soulscourge meter. Once the bar is full, you’ll be afflicted with Soulscourge for 300 seconds.
While Soulscourged, the longer you remain in this state, the more dangerous enemies will begin to appear, ranging from Lost Souls and wolves to powerful spirits and even dragons. However, being Soulscourged also allows you to see things that are otherwise invisible, including Spectral Doors and hidden pathways.

Farming Soulstone Behind Spectral Doors
Once Soulscourged, return to the Spectral Door and pass through it. Inside, you’ll enter a dungeon-like area with few or no enemies, making it very safe to farm.

Within these areas, you’ll typically find three to four Soulstone mining nodes. You can mine them using your Steel Pickaxe or instantly break large clusters using the Rocksplosion ability. The amount of Soul Fragments gained is substantial, with a single node capable of dropping 30 or more Soul Fragments.

After breaking all the nodes, exit the area. This method provides a massive return compared to standard enemy farming and is by far the fastest way to build up large quantities of Soul Fragments.

Cleansing Soulscourge and Repeating the Farm
After leaving the Spectral Door, you will still be Soulscourged, which prevents fast travel. To remove this effect, you must find a Purification Pool.

Purification Pools are found throughout Fellhollow. Once located, break the vines surrounding the pool with your weapon, then interact with it to cleanse yourself. This removes the Soulscourge effect and restores normal gameplay, including fast travel.

For maximum efficiency, place a Lodestone near the Spectral Door before entering. Soulstone nodes respawn over time, allowing you to clear several Spectral Doors, cleanse yourself, and then return later to repeat the process.
Using this method, you can accumulate hundreds of Soul Fragments very quickly and unlock all of Death’s recipes in a short amount of time.
