Where Winds Meet Guide: The Fastest Way to Farm Legendary Gear
The Fastest Way to Farm Legendary Gear in Where Winds Meet
If you are trying to get full Legendary (Gold) gear, you might be running the wrong activity. Most players assume that the “Sword Trial” (Hero Realm) is the best place to farm, but it appears that is not the case.
Ulfhednar shares with us why Campaign Bosses are actually superior for targeting specific legendary items. It comes down to how the game handles loot pools.
Method: Campaign Challenges vs. Sword Trials
The most efficient method to farm your gear is to run the Campaign Challenge (found in Wandering Paths -> Challenges).

The Loot Pool Logic: The reason Campaign Challenges are better is simple mathematics regarding the loot pool.
- Sword Trials: The loot pool in Sword Trials is large. It includes “Greaves” (leg armor) and a wider variety of items. This dilutes your chances of getting the specific main pieces you want, like a Chest piece or Weapon.

- Campaign Challenges: When you look at the drop list for a Campaign Challenge boss, you will often see only 3 specific items in the pool (e.g., Chest, Weapon, Accessory). Because “Greaves” and other filler items are often excluded from this specific pool and are part of other boss loot pools, your chance of rolling a Legendary version of one of the other items is significantly higher.

The 20% Drop Rate Passive
Before you start farming, you need to unlock a specific passive skill that increases your loot.
- Find the Oddity NPCs: These are the “Collection” NPCs marked on your map (the ones who track your butterfly collecting progress).
- Locations:
- First Zone: There is one in the starting area.

- Kyong City: There is one located in the left corner of the city.

- The Passive: When you talk to them, you can unlock a passive skill for the “Solo Campaign.” This passive gives you a 20% chance to receive additional gear for every 20 Energy consumed.

There is a similar passive for Sword Trials, but the Campaign one is generally more consistent if you are farming solo or with AI.

Energy Management Strategy
Farming legendary gear costs Energy. You need to decide if you want to burn your resources now or save them.
- Triple Cost: You can spend triple the energy (60 Energy) in a single run to triple your loot drops. This is time-efficient.
- Energy Pills: The video suggests that you should save your Energy Pills. The next level breakthrough (level cap increase) is coming soon. It is better to have a stock of Energy Pills ready for the new season so you can farm the higher-level gear immediately.

- Exception: The only reason to burn your Energy Pills right now is if you are desperate for “Inner Chests” to upgrade your passive skills (like Vendetta), which also drop from these bosses.

Summary
To farm Legendary gear fast:
- Unlock the “20% Extra Gear” passive from the Oddity NPC in Kyong.
- Go to Wandering Paths -> Challenges -> Campaign Challenge.
- Target the specific boss that drops the set piece you need (e.g., Morong Yang).
- Run the content and enjoy the smaller loot pool for better odds.
