Where Winds Meet Guide: How to Farm Mystic Skill Materials Fast
How to Upgrade Mystic Skills Fast in Where Winds Meet
You need to farm specific flowers and ores to upgrade your Mystic Skills, and doing it the normal way takes too long.
Ulfhednar shared this video with us that explains a method to speed this up significantly. It involves eating a specific bowl of noodles and switching your game mode. It requires some repetitive actions, but it is better than waiting 24 hours for a flower to grow back.
Step 1: Get the Chicken Noodles
Before you start picking flowers, you should go to the Forsaken Quarter in Kaifeng. There is a food stall owner located right next to the Chess NPC.

You need to buy Chicken Noodles.
- Cost: 50 Commerce Coins.
- Effect: Grants a 20% chance to get additional herbs when gathering.
- Duration: 10 minutes.
You might need to raise your reputation with the vendor to buy them. I suggest buying a few so you do not have to talk to him again for a while. Eat one before you start your route.
Step 2: The Respawn Trick (Flowers and Herbs)
This is the most important part of the process. In your “Solo World,” resources like Jasmine or Plume flowers take 24 hours to respawn. That is too slow.
If you switch to Online Mode, resources respawn every 5 minutes.

- The Strategy: Go to the location where the flower spawns (click the resource in your menu to see the area). Switch to Online Mode and collect everything.
- The Problem: Online Mode means other people. You might see players with mounts that auto-collect resources. This can be annoying.
- The Fix: If the area is crowded, switch back to Solo Mode, then back to Online Mode. This might put you in a different “shard” or instance where there are fewer people.
Step 3: Farming Ebony Ore
You also need stones called Ebony Ore. You cannot pick these up from the ground; you have to earn them from combat challenges.

Joint Battles (Group)
- Go to Wandering Paths -> Challenges -> Joint Battle.
- These are 5-man outpost challenges.
- Level Selection: You can choose the difficulty level. This is important because different levels drop different tiers of ore.
- Level 4: Best for Level 1 Ebony Ore.
- Level 6: Drops Level 2 and Level 3 Ebony Ore.
- Check the rewards list before you start to make sure you are farming the correct tier.

Solo Outposts
- If you do not want to play with a group, you can do the Solo Outposts (marked by a Red Tower icon).
- You can still adjust the difficulty here to target the specific ore you need.

Summary
- Buy Chicken Noodles in the Forsaken Quarter.
- Eat the noodles.
- Go to the flower location in Online Mode for 5-minute respawns.
- Run Joint Battles or Solo Outposts at the correct difficulty for your Ebony Ore.
It is a simple loop. Once you have the materials, you can perform the breakthrough for your skills. Looking for a great build for Rope Dart, check out our Twinblade and Rope Dart DPS build here.
