Damage any ARC Enemies: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
To Damage any ARC enemies effectively:
- Load into the Dam Battleground map (Or Spaceport/Blue Gate if Hidden Bunker/Locked Gate is up)
- Set-up or rotate into spots with large ARC available
- Bring a strong weapon or two with a ton of ammo and explosives such as Wolfpacks
- Try to prioritize the large ARC first, they’ll net you around 900~ score on average. The small ARC give very very tiny score increases and should only be destroyed between large ARC rotations
In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and damage any ARC enemies to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your scores for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for this Trial only comes from dealing damage to any ARC enemies on any map or condition. Score per ARC varies a lot. For example some small ARC like Pops may not even award 100 score, whereas larger ARC, such as the Rocketeer can award 600+ score. Approximate scores per destroyed ARC known so far:
- Ticks – 7
- Snitch – 111~
- Hornet – 110~
- Leaper – 900~
- Rocketeer – 600-900~
- Bastion/Bombardier – 900+
- Pop – 20-30~
(This section will be updated when we have more coverage of the scores, for now, you can assume most large ARC give around 900 score and small ARC 110 or lower)
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires dealing as much damage to any ARC as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, a good weapon to kill small and large ARC and some explosives. We recommend bringing:
- A solid gun like the
Bettina along with a
Hullcracker would be more than enough. Bring plenty of
Heavy Ammo and
Launcher Ammo
Survivor MK.3 Augment - Medium Shield
- 5
Shield Rechargers - 5-10
Bandages - 10 or more
Adrenaline Shots - Explosives such as
Seeker Grenades or
Wolfpacks (
Deadline is fine too for ARC like the Bastion) - Rotation tools such as
Ziplines, a
Snap Hook and even a
Powered Descender (optional)
Can I use a Free Loadout for the damage any ARC enemies weekly Trial?
While it may be possible, we currently do not recommend using a Free Loadout to attempt this Trial, even if it’s just for the 3,000 score. As a result, run a full loadout with the above item suggestions.
Should I use aggression-based matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.
Map
The best map to push for an effective score is either Spaceport or Blue Gate with their respective Hidden Bunker or Locked Gate events for maximum raid duration. However, due to the lack of availability of these events, we recommend Dam Battleground as a straight forward approach. You can do this on the normal map or any conditions you prefer. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
The BEST Route for Maximizing Score
Our preferred approach to this Trial is to focus on big ARC as your main priority compared to any of the small ARC available in a match. The score difference between Pops and something like a Rocketeer is a rather large gap. As a result, we recommend:
- Focusing on the first large ARC you spawn near
- After destroying it, begin moving to the next large ARC spawn of your choice
- Destroy small ARC while on the move
A simple yet effective approach, this’ll give you minimal downtime on the small ARC as you’ll be moving location to location, and maximum score gain from large ARC.
Solo Lobby
These three main circled locations above are your best bet to rotate between in search of large ARC and small ARC to destroy while rotating. We highly recommend bringing a Hullcracker for large ARC (and explosives) and a hard hitter like the Bettina or an Anvil to deal with small ARC. Our preferred starting place depending on spawn is typically the Hydroponic Dome Complex. This is due to the open nature of the area, easily being able to spot Rocketeers, Bastions etc.
Leapers are a very easy target to get score from on this trial. It is very straight forward to aggro a Leaper, find a entrance to a building and just peek out to blast the Leaper with your Hullcracker. If you have any explosives to throw, they’re also fine to make light work of one. A Leaper is an easy 900 score.
Turbines
The large Turbine ARC can also spawn on any map other than Stella Montis. As a result, you may run into it during your attempt. If you do, we personally do not recommend putting too much time into the Turbine compared to other large ARC. The Turbine is a tank that eats a ton of bullets, explosives and Hullcracker rounds even from multiple players. It also fires incredibly dangerous lightning strikes. As a result, we recommend avoiding these for the Trial.
In general, you should only need to destroy and fully damage around 3 large ARC, rounding out your final few hundred score with small ARC kills while rotating. 3 large ARC nets you around 2,700~ score, meaning 3 small flying ARC is enough to get your 3-star rewards.
Squad Lobby
For party play, simply split up the party into the three locations above. This way, you’ll be able to each take on large ARC at the same time and gain 3x the amount of score within the same time you’d earn the original amount in solos. With all three party members destroying small ARC while on the move too, you’ll rack up the score in no time. On a good run, you can easily expect well over 10,000 score as a lower-end estimate.
Finally, we recommend fully avoiding Ticks where possible. They’re simply not worth the time to go out of your way for. If they happen to be right in front of where you’re moving, sure. However, they earn you almost no score worth your bullets.
