Damage ARC Enemies in the Red Lakes: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
To damage ARC enemies in the Red Lakes effectively:
- Head to the Dam Battlegrounds map – preferably on a Night Raid to increase ARC activity
- The Red Lakes are located on the East side of the map and spans a moderate radius
- Once you’re there, any ARC that is within the area (ground & flying) grants you score for damage dealt, this means you can pull ARC from outside the area to the score zone
- Bring Snitch Scanners with you to drop in the area while you damage and destroy all the other ARC
- Once you’re low on time, get out and secure your score
In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Damage ARC Enemies in the Red Lakes to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.
Preparing for the ARC Raiders Damage ARC Enemies in the Red Lakes Trial
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires a 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for this Trial comes from damaging any ARC enemies within the Red Lakes boundaries of Dam Battlegrounds. Each size type of ARC earns you approximately:
With the above scores in mind, taking down two large ARC like a Leaper or a Rocketeer and then a couple of small ARC is more than enough for the 3-star reward.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires you to damage and destroy as many ARC enemies as possible on the Red Lakes of Dam Battlegrounds. You’ll need plenty of ammo, meds, explosives, and good ARC killing weapons (both for big and small, ground and flying ARC). We recommend bringing:
Anvil IV is okay – bring
Heavy Ammo if you use this. The Anvil can help to deal with smaller ARC- Two of a hard hitter such as
Jupiter or
Hullcracker and their respective ammo types
Survivor MK.3 is recommended for space and multiple safe pockets for Wolfpacks
Light Shield or
Medium Shield is fine - At least 10
Shield Rechargers - At least 10
Bandages and/or
Herbal Bandages - 10
Adrenaline Shot
Smoke Grenades to avoid awkward aggro situations or diffuse PVP moments- As many
Snitch Scanners as you can bring solo or between your party members
Wolfpacks
Ziplines
Snitch Scanners
The
Snitch Scanner is the most important part of getting maximum score from this Trial. You can farm Snitch Scanners by coming into any map with a basic loadout (and at least 1 safe pocket). Simply shoot down any Snitch you come across and loot the Scanner from them. You can stack 3 Scanners in one slot, meaning you can guarantee up to 9 Scanners per farm run (more if you get extract safely).
Can I use a Free Loadout to Damage ARC Enemies in the Red Lakes Trials?
You definitely can use a Free Loadout to get a 3,000 score attempt for 3-star rewards and exit the raid. However, you’re very likely to not push a high score with the Free Loadout option. Instead, we recommend either running a “light” loadout with an Anvil, or going fully geared for the best results.
Should I use aggression-based matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.
Map
The only map you’re able to attempt this Trial on is Dam Battlegrounds. This is due to the “Red Lakes” being a part of this map exclusively. You can wait for a Night Raid for best results, as a result of more ARC spawning. However, this trial can be attempted in any condition.
Solo and Party Play
The Red Lakes is impossible to miss on the map and is very distinct visually. Roughly within the circled zone is where you’ll be able to score when damaging ARC.
The area itself is very open so you can easily aggro ARC in the sky and see basically every available ARC within the scoring zone.
One (and occasionally in Night Raids, even two) Leapers prowl the Red Lakes. Securing the damage on these is very important to get your 3-star reward comfortably. Utilize your powerful weapon that you decide to bring and use any available cover to kite it. Alternatively, a Wolfpack does the job.
Once you have your 3,000 score or desired high score, extract at the nearest extraction and enjoy your rewards. You can easily earn 3,000-10,000+ score depending on if you’re solo or not, and the amount of Snitch Scanners you bring. To reach 3,000 score comfortably, destroy 1-2 Large ARC during the raid and round out the score with small ARC.
