To damage ARC enemies in Old Town:

  1. Head to the Buried City map – preferably on a 2x event modifier
  2. Old Town is located on the southern portion of the map, as labeled on the map itself
  3. Once you’re there, any ARC that is within the area (ground & flying) grants you score for damage dealt – this means you’ll need to clear buildings and the outside at the same time to get as many spawns going as possible
  4. Bring Snitch Scanners with you to drop in the area while you damage and destroy all the other ARC
  5. Once you’re low on time, get out and secure your score
  6. Check back to see exactly how much score you can get and expect!

In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Damage ARC enemies in Old Town to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.

Preparing for the ARC Raiders damage ARC enemies in Old Town Trial

This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires a 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.

Scoring

The scoring for this Trial comes from damaging and destroy any ARC enemies within the Old Town boundaries of Buried City. Check back soon to see the full score breakdown.

What you’ll need

For this Trial, the objective requires you to damage and destroy as many ARC enemies as possible inside the Old Town location on Buried City. You’ll need plenty of ammo, meds, explosives, and good ARC killing weapons (both for big and small, ground and flying ARC). We recommend bringing:

Snitch Scanners

The Snitch Scanner is the most important part of getting maximum score from this Trial. You can farm Snitch Scanners by coming into any map with a basic loadout (and at least 1 safe pocket). Simply shoot down any Snitch you come across and loot the Scanner from them. You can stack 3 Scanners in one slot, meaning you can guarantee up to 9 Scanners per farm run (more if you get extract safely).

Can I use a Free Loadout to damage ARC enemies in Old Town Trials?

You definitely can use a Free Loadout to get a 4000 score attempt for 3-star rewards and exit the raid. However, you’re very likely to not push a high score with the Free Loadout option. Instead, we recommend either running a “light” loadout with an Anvil, or going fully geared for the best results.

Should I use aggression-based matchmaking for friendly lobbies?

Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.

Map

The only map you’re able to attempt this Trial on is the Buried City. This is due to “Old Town” being a part of this map exclusively. You can wait for a Night Raid, however, Close Scrutiny is a great 2x score event to find a ton of ARC in the nearby area to aggro. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!

The area within the red lines is the approximate boundaries to damage and destroy ARC enemies in. We’ll update this with more precise boundaries as we learn more.

Solo Lobby

As a solo, your best bet is to find a solid position that covers an entire plaza both high and low ground, close to the Metro.

We recommend utilizing the circled area within Old Town to navigate and damage ARC enemies that’re flying. Between using Snitch Scanners and clearing flying ARC, you can drop down inside each building and clear out any Pops or Fireballs etc. If possible, try to patrol the area in a circle-motion, clearing any ground or flying ARC you see while throwing Snitch Scanners. This way, ARC can respawn as fast as possible behind you in your pathing. As a result, you’ll gain more score overall. You can also use the buildings to avoid Rocketeers or Vaporizers (if you’re on Close Scrutiny).

During the Close Scrutiny event, you can use the Assessor to your advantage, and pull multiple ARC enemies over to Old Town. Utilize this as much as possible. You can easily push 20,000+ score solo.

Squad Party Lobby

For Squad play, you can split up each player to cover these areas. Each player is responsible for the airspace and clearing the insides of the buildings and Metro Stations for any ground-based ARC. You can use Wolfpacks for Rocketeers, Vaporizers (once their barrier is down) and Bastions/Bombardiers if needed. A very common spawn for an Assessor during the Close Scrutiny event is north of Player 2’s location in the example above. As a result, Player 3 and 2 can work together to pull plenty of extra ARC into Old Town. Finally, make sure each player burns their Snitch Scanner supply throughout the attempt.

Using the method above you can easily push 40,000+ score.

Fast 3-Star Rewards and Alternative Options for the ARC Raiders Damage ARC enemies in Old Town Trial

To gain a 4000 score for the 3-Star Rewards:

  1. Spawn in on Buried City with the Close Scrutiny event active
  2. Head towards the closest Assessor to Old Town
  3. Once you find one to engage, head into a building of your choice in Old Town and begin to aggro ARC towards you from the Assessor
  4. You can take it easy and pick off small ARC like Hornets, Fireflies and Wasps, or take out 1-2 Vaporizers with Wolfpacks (after destroying their barrier)
  5. Once you hit 4000 score, head to the nearest Metro and extract! If you’re just shy of 4000 score, there is usually Pops and Fireballs in the Metro to destroy. As a result, use the Metro within the Old Town to extract if available.
