Damage Flying ARC Enemies: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too), the goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards each week too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Damage flying ARC enemies to maximize your score (or get your fill and get out) and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The key to gaining score in “Damage flying ARC enemies” is to avoid shooting the propellers off and focusing the center of the Wasps, Hornets, Snitches and Rocketeers with your shots. You can expect to gain the following score per unit on 2x event modifiers:
- Wasp = 176
- Hornet = 320
- Snitch = 252
- Rocketeer = 1776
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires you to Damage flying ARC enemies as much possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, a good weapon for killing smaller ARC – and a ton of ammo. We recommend bringing:
- Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate) and/or Renegade
- Tactical MK.2
- Light Shield
- 10 Shield Rechargers
- 10-15 Bandages
- 160+ Heavy Ammo
- 320 Medium Ammo (if you bring a Renegade, maybe less ammo if you bring both weapons)
- 10-15 Adrenaline Shots
- 2-5 Smoke Grenades
- 3-6 Barricade Kits
- 3 Trigger ‘Nades (Optional)
- As many Snitch Scanners as possible
- Several Wolfpack Grenades or Seeker Grenades (Optional)
- A couple of ziplines to get into a good spot

Most of the above can be tweaked to your preference, however, this set-up ensures you can move around the map, effectively deal with all ARC threats and cover yourself should an opponent get the jump on you.
Snitch Scanners
The Snitch Scanner is the most important part of getting maximum score from this Trial. You can farm Snitch Scanners by coming into any map with a basic loadout (and at least 1 safe pocket). Simply shoot down any Snitch you come across and loot the Scanner from them. You can stack 3 Scanners in one slot, meaning you can guarantee up to 9 Scanners per farm run (more if you get extract safely). A single Snitch scanner spawns in two Wasps.
Map
The best map to push for the maximum score possible, while technically possible on any map due to the use of Snitch Scanners, we recommend Blue Gate with the Locked Gate 2x Modifier enabled. You can also do this at Hidden Bunker on Spaceport. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
Most people will be busy doing the Locked Gate event, but both Locked Gate and Hidden Bunker give you a 40-minute raid timer to work with. As a result, you’ll find the best results here. Blue gate also has a ton of flying ARC to ping from range.
The BEST Location for Maximizing Score
Our preferred spot for this Trial is up on the top of Pilgrim’s Peak, the Northeastern side of the map. You’re pretty out of the way here, high up and with Barricade Kits set up, you’re very safe overall. It’s important to note that one of the Locked Gate keys comes from Pilgrim’s Peak. As a result, you may be contested. However, most players want to do the Event itself – vocalize your intentions to incoming players and you might be okay.
Being high up the tower of Pilgrim’s Peak gives you an overview of the map, this lets you hit flying ARC from far away to bring them to you.
Next, you’ll want to set-up your Barricades to provide more coverage (or perhaps even block the ziplines up to you) and begin throwing your Snitch Scanners. A Snitch Scanner spawns in two Wasps each time one is thrown. It is important to note that you should not throw too many too quickly, the game instance limits the amount of ARC spawns that can happen at one time. As a result, pay close attention to your Snitch Scanner throws, as you may forget to pick up a Snitch Scanner that didn’t activate. You’ll know if they activate by hearing the Snitch Alarm sound with a beam coming down from the sky.
This method works both in solo play and team play. Following the above (and depending on how many Snitch Scanners you have) you can easily get anywhere from 40,000 – 100,000+ score. The higher end of the score depends on if you’re in a trio or solo, due to inventory space. Make sure that if you’re in a group, that you’re having some of your players shoot out and damaging/destroying flying ARC. They’ll need to do this while you’re spawning Wasps with the Snitch Scanners. This method yields by far the highest score results.
Easy way to Fast 3-star Damage Flying ARC Enemies
While the Snitch Scanner method is both quick, easy and safe – it also requires time to set-up due to farming the Snitch Scanners. As a result, if you want to quickly get 4000 score for your 3-star Damage flying ARC enemies Trial, we recommend bringing in some Wolfpack Grenades. Use the Wolfpack Grenades to take out two Rocketeers and round out your score with smaller flying ARC. Alternatively, you can head to Pilgrim’s Peak again on any 2x Event modifier and take out some Wasps & Hornets.
